Nichrome 80 better?

I recently bought 26 g nichrome 80 and have noticed my coils don't rust and has a better flavor over kanthal. Anyone else notice this or is it a placebo? I've noticed the ramp up is shorter. A .24 coil 2mm diameter 8 wraps heats up as fast on 3.0 volts 38 watts compared to a similar build. I mean same mass # of wraps etc..

Like ost everyone i started with kanthal, i gave it a shot at nicrhoem when teying to reach for low sub-ohms, now i cant tolerate anything else. Nichrome is ABOUT 2 gages lower in resistance equivalent to kanthal (26g nichrome will give you about the resistance of 24 kanthal at the same length)

Nichrome 24 & 26 is pretty much all i use these days. Cant tolerate kanthal's taste anymore except for a specific build i still like (triple twisted 28, 8 wraps on 5/64, pretty damn tasty for regulated devices)

Matter of taste of course, use what you enjoy
