Newbue vaper, no idea what setting to use

Hey peoples, bit of a newbie question but ive just bought myself a vaporesso revenger x to try n help kick the habit after the success of some friends and i have a few questions

1) What settings (wattage etc) will produce the closest to a cigarette?

2) What have you found is the best place to buy e juice?

Thanks :)

There are no CORRECT settings. There are the settings that work for you with the atomizer, coil and juice you are using at the time.

Start at low settings and work your way up till happy. If your tank uses coilheads buy a few different ones from multiple suppliers till you find what works for you.

Can't help on the juice as I only like tobacco flavors and DIY my juice. And I couldn't find a coilhead I liked so I learned to build.

Are you also looking for a draw similar to a cigarette? Ie mouth to lung

The tighter you have the airflow the lower you can go on the wattage

Off the top of my head I don’t know what the wattage range is for the accompanying coils - it should have printed a best range, as Honda said start low and tighten up the airflow to where you like vaping it and then increase wattage from there

If you are using the NRG Tank that comes in the kit sold most places here are the coils included and recommended settings.

GT Coil Family
  • GT 4
    • 0.15 ohm
    • Dual Vertical Coil
    • 30 to 70W
    • 45 to 65W Recommended Range
  • GT 8
    • 0.15 ohm
    • Quadruple Vertical Coil
    • 50 to 110W
    • 60 to 80W Recommended Range
You can go lower in recommended wattage if you can get a good enough vape to curb the cravings. Congrats on making the decision to quit and welcome to VU.

1) Good job in quitting the nasty old tobacco. Pity your poor wife when your "drive" goes up.... she'll get no sleep. *lol* but... no setting will every be close to a cigarette. Mainly because nothing burns and there is no smoke. BUT... That said, you can get a nice throat hit from 50/50 pg/vg and a bit milder at 40/60 30/70, depends on your taste. The main this is how much nicotine do you need to beat your craving. Basically as other have said, to simulate puffing a cigarette, adjust your airflow down to make it harder to draw and lower your wattage to produce the temperature and fog you like. Best is start at the lowest setting and work up to where you like it. Then when you get the urge to puff, just grab your vape, sit down for 5 minutes and puff away. Take a vape break!!! I would suggest 15mg +3/-3 for this method, (if 15 isnt enough, +3 next time, or -3 if you feel dizzy)

2) I find buying your ejuice at a local shop is best for several reasons. 1 it supports your local economy and local vape shop (you know, where you go to ask all your tank, rda, mod, battery, nicotine, coil, resistance etc etc etc etc questions about vaping) but pick a GOOD shop that knows what they are talking about. Batteries should be Sony, Samsung or LG. If they try to sell you a rebranded battery, find another shop. As for internet sites, I would say pick one and ask about it here, if anyone had issues. One internet site I use is EastCoast Vapes, mainly because it is in Canada so I can get nicotine based ejuice and flavorings for DIY (Yes, its still restricted from import here, go figure...)

Cool tidbit... if you need to stealth vape.. flavorless juice is great.. No smell = no evidence. lol

I assume the tank with your kit is the NRG. These take Smok Baby Beast style coils too, like Eleaf Ello HW, Wotofo Flow, and Joyetech Aries.

I know of 1 mouth to lung (tighter draw like smoking) coil for these....... Joyetech Aries ProC1-S I believe...... But labeled MTL in any case, and best 30-40w.

Vapecrawler is a good search engine for vape gear.

Welcome and glad you joined.
The mod you bought looks like a it can handle just about most attys. The tank might shine for DL/ sub ohm'rs. Might want to read the vape information below to get an idea of the different type of equipment sweet spots;
