A big concern is the size of the particles, . . . “They are smaller than 1,000 nanometers, 50 times smaller than the width of a human hair,” he says. “They can stay airborne for a long time, and penetrate into the deepest part of our lungs.”

https://www.yahoo.com/health/secondhand-e-cig-vapor-can-penetrate-paint-what-113444498677.html

Notice how they say it's 50 times smaller than the width of the human hair, not 50 times larger than the particles in cigarette smoke.

I use the "Glantz theory'

It's a theory in which anything about Vaping that uses Stanton Glantz as a reference is total bullshit.

I ask anyone who reads this to test my 'Glantz Theory" if you see "Vaping" or "ecig" and "Glantz" in the same paragraph it's bullshit 100% of the time!.

It's a pretty sound theory - 5150;)

Not that it matters to this BS but they don't specify the type of paint.
is it eggshell, flat, matte, satin, gloss?
I can cut and polish gloss clear to the point that it appears wet. Can the particles still penetrate?:p

I have been told that my "Morning" breath can peel paint off of a wall.

But so far, no one has offered to pay for a study.

Asshats.

Heheh, good point. Flat latex will absorb water for Petes sake. Are we supposed to believe that water is bad for us?

Conflict of interest doesn't begin to cover it. This is how Big Tobacco and Big Pharma influence society, and law makers.

Big business and media will do anything to make our industry look bad. Its a massive smear campaign and we have to fight this.

It makes you wonder though, are we strong enough to compete at that level?
The 2 billion dollar mark is enough to make officials take notice but is it enough to have a leg to stand on against institutions that are in the double digits?
All it takes is a few dollar fed politicians to "paperclip" a bill or proposition to another that's sure to pass and then we're in the hole.
they do it all the time and amending these bills is difficult because by the time people realize what's happened, the people affected are massively outnumbered by the people the don't give a fuck anymore because mainstream media has already moved on to the next big controversy.

That two billion dollar figure they throw around is misleading, considering you have to divide that among so many thousands of businesses and also probably includes Blu and other ecigs owned by BT. How many e-cig companies in the states make anywhere close to a million let alone have any political pull?

It isn't so much about a single company or even country as its about that 2 billion lost collectively.
Even as a whole, we don't stand a ghost of a chance.
bureaucrats make a living playing this game.

I bet you that number is WAY higher since many mod and eliquid makers are underground an off the books.
Almost every eliquid company starts in some dudes spare room and is a second under the table job.
Only if the juice line takes off that owner may quit his job and focus on the juice line.
Down here in Florida there are many, many flea market ecig dealers.

Bonnie Herzog from Wells Fargo even says that it's really hard to track online sales.

I have a feeling 2015 will be a 5 billion Vaping (not cigalike) market IF the FDA doesn't pull no bullshit.

I have a feeling that once the deeming regs drop nothing will happen before 2+ years of lawsuits and appeals.

I think there will be no wany in hell that the FDA will be able to craft regs that will make the vaping industry not sue.

Vaping is not a tobacco product and a lot of people do not understand that when Njoy won in 2009 the FDA was trying to say that ecigs were a drug delivery device.

Judge Leon said no they are not but the FDA can TRY to deem vaping as a tobacco product.

He didn't say they WERE a tobacco product he just say under the current choices in 2009 there was drug delivery device and tobacco product.

The vaping industry's lawyers are going to argue that the FDA needs to add a separate vapor product section to the list.

If the vaping industry lawyers win (Supreme Court Judges do not get lobbied or paid off by anybody. if they did then vaping would have vanished in 2009) the FDA will take another few years to craft a whole new Vapor Product section which will take at least 3 more years.

The problem is that we are fighting FDA regs and other bull shit. They are spreading the fight to different fronts. I think to combat this USA companies need to band together under one umbrella and fight collectively on every individual issue. There needs to be a centralized vape leadership structure. To win in a corporate fight we have to fight like corporations fight. Except instead of manipulation and beuocracy we need to fight with the free people and with honesty. We need a unified front to come out on the record and be able to make comments to the media collectively and combat the smear campaign. The media is virtually unnopressed in their opposition of or industry. We must begin to be organized. Together we stand. Divided we fall.
