@The Cromwell That's what I was trying to tell him... especially if you saw my prior posts. The links I gave him will hopefully help educate him and the first one has using it as a voltage divider with the voltage and current he's talking about as a DON'T DO IT.
"Maybe you should try to talk to him. I personally wouldn't do that. By doing what you are saying is building a voltage divider between the Pot and Atomizer coil. You would have to make sure the Pot you have chosen would stand up to the power/heat generated by being used as such. Additionally, you would drain your batteries quicker doing that verses using a pulse. Just my $0.02 worth as a person with an Electronic Engineering degree."
I was trying to get him to see the light of going with a 555 timer (PWM) to switch the MOSFETs. The best and safest way to go IMHO. I can't in good conscious tell him to do something that's dangerous or will likely do a prompt fail.
