OK and this are polvorones to me, its a lot more softer and sweeter cookie, with powder sugar on top, it has a buttery nut (real nuts in the dough) sugary flavor to it

And Hojarascas (A stiffer sugary cinnamon cookie, no nuts here, hints of anise)

This thread is messing with my conception of cookies! Now when I go to the "panaderia" I am confused :)

If a sweet recipe includes anise or mint, it gives me that mind-trick of powdered sugar.
So maybe adding a little anise to this wouldn't be a bad idea then gotta get it though that and holiday spice...I've got a pumpkin spice and toffee cookie I've been working on its just to bold for my liking right now

Will do Miss Smoky!! I am baking my grandma's "cuernitos" recipe this weekend, and boy oh boy those are just AM A ZIIING little cookies, its a soft buttery cookie with almonds that melts in your mouth! Of course powdered sugar all around....

viewer's discretion's advice.

Preferred steep or shake n vape on this one? I made it up, but usually wait a day to try anything I mix. Usually, lol.

One week later... cinnamon announces it's presence a bit more, walnut mellowed a bit... very good. :)
