Mech mod airport safety

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if taking a mech mod on vacation with me would be a good idea. I'm not sure if the airport would allow me to keep the mod in my suitcase along with my laptop because of the 18650 battery. I really don't want to get any unnecessary attention at the airport because of the recent tragic events in Europe. I have an ijust 2 battery and thought I'd have a better chance of getting through with a mech mod. This might be off topic but where can I find a mech mod and battery combo for around 20 bucks? Help would definitely be appreciated!

I recently flew from sf to san diego..had my mod and atty, batteries in a case and kanthal and mesh and juice...all on carry on...they didn't even give them a second looks.

I think flying overseas is a bit more strict than national flights. I may be wrong but considering the recent terror attacks in Brussels... Security may be less lenient.
