Yep, due to the fact that there's no additional resistance of the regular connection itself. Are hybrid connectors really better for low voltage drop?
very minimal. you won't get any noticeable gain with the hybrid cap except in the looks dept. Are hybrid connectors really better for low voltage drop?
I liked the carbon fiber looks. My second Stingray is the SS version. As mentioned, both of them are excellent mods. However, your's a good choice too. Somewhere, I read that the clone made by Kepler is the better.@Neunerball I love the mod. Here's the variant I found and will be getting. https://m.fasttech.com/p/2146001
The Stingrays that @D3zCx and I listed, come with the hybrid adapter and a Stingray drip tip included. This would be a good addition to a stingray order.

Oh! Didn't look at it.... Nice! Might get me 2, although the brass coming with those Stingrays are pretty good too. However, with Copper, it should be even better. They don't come with a copper hybrid adapter.
uh no.Do yourself a favor and DON'T use a tank with your hybrid adapter, use the standard cap with the pin for tanks.
Only use RDA's with the hybrid adapter. (Trust me)
Those caps also have an insulator on the battery side.Oh! Didn't look at it.... Nice! Might get me 2, although the brass coming with those Stingrays are pretty good too. However, with Copper, it should be even better.
Dude, I'm sorry but don't base what you do or don't use with a hybrid
Blanket statements can be really taken badly
Some rdas are just as bad or worse than a subobm tank
And some rtas have adjustable 510s- the 510 connection on the topper is what you wanna look at.
Roger that, he didn't specify what he was going to use on it, but other people than the op may come read the thread for help. I try to assume the worst when I huge advice is all.Agreed, my bad.
I made the assumption that the OP is a new vaper and just wanted them to avoid some of the problems I experienced with my first hybrid adaptor and others that I read about after the fact. I did not take into account that some non adjustable RDA's could be just as bad as sub ohm tanks (my kaifun RBA was also not compatible).
Apologies
Are those Chris Munn caps on the kf4?mine leaks like the titanic with any aftermarket drip tip.uh no.
i don't know what a Chris Munn is but they are these https://www.fasttech.com/p/1948700Are those Chris Munn caps on the kf4?mine leaks like the titanic with any aftermarket drip tip.
most all RDAs and RTAs are nonadjustable and most all have a protruding center pin. the subtanks have spring loaded centerpins so those are a no no. but you knew that.Agreed, my bad.

that is great. My subtank mini doesn't have a spring loaded pin.
I may be really late to the party, but I also have a praxis, a brass Infinite Praxis clone to be exact. It is absolutely awesome. Its my work mod since theres no chance of it ever 'pocket firing'. Just a bit of polishing on the switch and bottom tube where it slides and its honestly the smoothest mod ive ever used. Im happier with this mod than any mech ive ever owned.Stingray X or praxis mod.... Only mechanicals I use! Both have an unnoticeable voltoge drop. Both are hybrid. The praxis button is not for everyone though. It autolocks and you push in and up to fire. The upside is that it never 'Accidentally fires ' downside is it does take a minute to get used to. But, being a guy that notoriously forgets to lock his Mech, having the autolock has been awesomeness.
I prefer springs. They are in constant contact with both parts of the switch so you get consistent firing and they aren't fragile like magnets.I originally thought magnetic was the way to go, as in nothing to wear out. However, on a mag switch, the button only makes contact with switch housing on the sides .... outer rim of switch makes contact with inner rim of switch housing. I found with enough use I had to pull the switch toward the outer housing to make it fire while depressing it. I've converted the mag switches to Springs where I could.
Everyone said that. And that and thank you for bringing it up anyone looking at this thread for information on hybrids your battery will short out when you connect a tank with a hybrid.Do yourself a favor and DON'T use a tank with your hybrid adapter, use the standard cap with the pin for tanks.
Only use RDA's with the hybrid adapter. (Trust me)
And, how do you like it? Did I promise too much?

It is spectacular. The threads are beautiful. the button is fluid. It feels great. And it goes nice with my infinite CLT v3!And, how do you like it? Did I promise too much?
Nice! Good choice on the RDA as well! I have the SS version myself (besides countless other RDAs).It is spectacular. The threads are beautiful. the button is fluid. It feels great. And it goes nice with my infinite CLT v3!

Rip trippers has a vid about this I forgot the name but he talks about you you should get a original mod not a clone. I just got a clone and I regret it has been mis firing and I have no clue why. The button was locked but it still firedLooking for one with:
-hybrid connector
-black or stainless
Magnetic firing
-lock ring unless the button is great.
Any advice?!

...and if you happen to drop your mod, those magnets have a nasty habit of shattering. Dropped my tobecco smpl and afterwards wondered why the switch was crunchy and would sometimes bind while pressing the button. Opened up the switch and the magnets were in a dozen pieces. (However my 1:1 smpl clone made by wotofo uses a spring, and is a much better unit overall.)
I looked at the Mod,,, it looks good... what does it fire down to??? can you use a .2 ohm build??If you have time to wait, take a look at the following mod. It comes with a hybrid option. I have two, and I love them.
https://m.fasttech.com/p/2019601
It isn't a matter if the mod is being able to support a 0.2 Ohm build. It's the battery! Ohm's law!I looked at the Mod,,, it looks good... what does it fire down to??? can you use a .2 ohm build??
Technically hybrids do hit harder but with a mech like the Stingray X that already has low voltage drop , the difference might not be as much as you think . I ran some voltage drop tests using my Hcigar Stingray X clone , a Kayfun 3.1 with a 1 ohm coil and a freshly charged VTC5 . Using the regular topcap I got a drop of .09 volts , I used an inline voltage meter and verified the results with a DMM for accuracy's sake . Using the same setup with the hybrid adapter I got a drop of .03 volts . Percentage wise in terms of the drop itself the difference is huge but in practical terms the difference is six hundredths of a volt , Not a big difference . But regardless of that my favorite setup is the Stingray X using the hybrid adapter and topped with a Rose V2 in all metal mode because it looks badass .I use a Stingray X from SXK(the guys who manufacture Infinite stuff, very good clones)
Never had a problem with the button, only thing is that it was sticky when I first got it, but now it's smooth after constant usage. Also, I run mine only in hybrid, LOL at the guy who says that hybrids don't hit harder and are only for aesthetics. I respectfully disagree.
