Is it worth it?

Hey, first of all nice to meet ya all, first day in the forum.

So heres my question:

I am currently using a iStick Pico mod with a cubis pro tank. This is my first kit ever and I've been using it for about 3-4 months.
I want to get started on rebuildable tanks because its cheaper in the longer run, it gives you more freedom overall and also my cubis pro has those spitback and gurgling problems which are staring to tire me...
So I went into the local shop to ask him for a cheap RTA and he offered me the Eleaf Lemo 1 RTA, which is an old model (about 2 years ago) for 20euros.

You see money is a big factor for me -Greece here :p- so I am really interested of buying the Lemo 1 but what do you guys think? Does it matter that its an old model that much, would a clone be better(and safe)?

Also if you have any other cheap solutions from shops that ship to Greece feel free to suggest!

Anyways, thanks for your time and have a nice day! :)

EDIT:
I found this one: http://www.gearbest.com/rebuildable-atomizers/pp_426811.html
What do you think? Seems its all I need/want -single coil for mouth to lung hit-.

I personally think you can get a more up to date and better RTA in general....Are you wanting a single coil or a dual coil RTA?

Well with the istick pico which is up to 75watts and uses only one battery dual coil wouldnt be the right choice for me, plus I am not that interested into huge clouds, I just wanna vape good!
I know the Lemo 1 is outdated, its the price that makes me think about getting it!
Unless there are other more updated and cheap models out there.

Hey, welcome to VU

I gotta agree, it's tough for me to recommend the Lemo 1 at this point - the flavor just isn't there compared to more modern RTAs

Can't fault you for wanting to save money - it does not grow on trees and I wish I was more up on what is available in Europe at what price-points

Thanks friend!! :)
Yeah I see what you mean well the prices of newly RTAs are around 45-60 euros (the "low end" ones) and then there are clones offered with half the price!
But I dont have much knowlegde around the whole think so I cant make a decision of buying one!

Low end doesn't always mean bad vaping - my personal favorite RTA is selling for about $20 US - and I do have a few very high end toppers that cost a pretty penny to compare.

Clones are often just as good as the real deal, it just takes a little research to figure out which ones are worth it

If you can find it at your price point, the Merlin mini is a great choice. I don't think it is cloned or ever will be.

I would recommend something like a Kayfun 5 or Taifun GT3 and keep the build at 1ohm or above...Both of these tanks by design aren't huge cloud makers but do offer great flavor from what ive seen in reviews..I have both of these tanks coming to me as we speak via mail...Take what you would normally have to spend on a cheap tank and wait another week or so till you have enough for something worth buying and keeping...Its really not all that expensive for clones..My kayfun 5 was $10.00 US from gearbest and shipping from the Netherlands...My Taifun was only $12.00 US and also from gearbest.

I need to say im not sure if the taifun would fit the pico mod or not..I think 22 or 23mm is as big of a tank as you can fit on the mod before it hits that huge battery cap..The Kayfun I think is 22mm and it should fit just fine

Pico 22mm tanks

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!
Both the Merlin Mini and the Kayfun are about at 40 euros so yeah way off the Lemo 1, but I guess its worth it saving up.
I just dont dig buying a clone its propably just me but I feel it wouldnt be as safe.
I will probably stick with the cubis pro for a bit more until I figure it out I guess!

Thanks again, see ya around!

Got a Lemo1 laying around somewhere.
Piece of crap, wasn't any good when it first came out, isn't any good now.
Totally not worth 20 euro.
If you want to find cheap stuff, Fasttech is your friend.
You would have to get a 22mm RTA since 24mm won't fit on the Pico.

Here are some good and cheap 22mm RTAs:

Not entirely sure a 23mm would fit, but if it does (this would be the best one)

And also

The Merlin mini is 24mm and won't fit, the Merlin is 23mm.

Thanks Whitesoxfan!

@freemind Well watching some videos on youtube and everyone states that the flavor is superb but the build is kinda tricky and you have to make it perfect in order not to lick and stuff!
