Hey fellow Ohioans,
Time to try to put Mad John Kasich in his place (penal colony would be good).
Say NO to HB64!
This sin tax on e-liquid is completely exorbitant. It would effectively triple the cost of your average 30ml bottle from about 17$ (plus state tax), to $50.75. This tax will only serve to run local brick and mortars out of business. This is because your average vaper will just stop purchasing locally and will purchase online instead. This results in lost revenue for Ohio, since they will not receive ANY tax from e-liquid or devices. Factor in the added lost income tax, local, and state brought in from employers, and then the unemployment burden from most shops state-wide forced to close their doors, the tax will have an opposite effect. Instead of generating revenue, it will cost the state. Vaping has been proven to be significantly less harmful than smoking. Less smokers also equates to less healthcare expenses and longer living, healthier, more productive tax-payers. Contact your local and state representative and tell them how much vaping has improved your life and what it means to you. Let them know how unjust this tax is and how it will affect you. Thanks you!
