So to my understanding high watt and mAh means the better?

Not necessarily... EVERYTHING in vaping is purely preference... it depends on what you specifically want... dripper? tank? clouds? flavor? etc etc etc...

What setup are you using now? and what kind of vaping experience do you have in mind?

The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last, but if you'e just starting out, I wouldn't worry about high wattage at all. Keep it simple til you know what you like. An iStick 20w would be plenty to start out with and they're great little mods.
