I have a Tesla Two mod and a Smok micro tfv4 tank. It was getting a burning taste after not even a week of vaping, so i figured time to change the coil. I bought a pack of coils, changed it and now the tank is not producing a lot of smoke like it was in the beginning. The flavor has gone down as well as the amount of smoke i can pull from the mod. Any help/advice would be great! I just bought the tank before it went to shit within a week! It also has a nasty taste when i go to vape, nothing like a burning taste, just out right gross

Welcome to VU!

Are the coils you bought for replacement the same ohms as the original that tasted burned?

Technically, your mod and atty do no produce smoke at all, it produces vapor.

What brand/type of batteries are you using? Are they a dedicated married pair?

The coils are the exact same as the original. The battery is built into the mod, therefore it is one that you plug into an adapter to the wall and it charges that way.

Did you prime your coils before vaping?

Just going through the process of elimination here, lol.

I do not have that tank, but I do have the Tesla II without the LiPo

well
firts off
all the coils are mass produced
so sometimes you get a bad one
coils do need broken in which is alittle hard to do on your mod

so that may be the issue

there could be dirt between the coil to base connection or in the 510 connector
if the 510 on your mod is adjustable which i bet it is, there cold be dirt in it
the coil may not be screwe dall the way into the base
all those things could be your issue

your mod is like a unregulated mechanical box mod

so when th ebattery drains down- the hit is weaker

make sure you are fully charged

new coils often taste very nasty if not primed or broken in well
and osmetimes coils just take like shit and need trashed from day 1

You might also want to throughly clean your atty and mod with alcohol or vodka - especially where on the 510 connection.

How do you propose i properly clean out the 510? I'll check all of these things and HOPEFULLY one of them is the issue. I'll try swapping the coil now as well.

well normally i usea q tip
but every once in a blu emoo there is dirt under that flat piece that has a spring under it
and thats a pita
a needle or pin is needed tehn

part fo your issue is a mod you cant regulate

many pople recommend when you start a new coil you hit it much lower watts then what you would normally
and slowly over the course of many drags bring the wattage up

WHY
cuz SOMETIMES if the cotton aint all the way really really saoked
especially near the coil
you wind up burning a small bit of cotton and can never get rid of that flavor

That really sounds like it is getting way too hot for the atty/coil combo

The Tesla II is a really great mod, but it's not a great beginners device at all.

Are you maybe hitting the button a little longer than it needs?

I'm vaping mine right now at about 1 ohm on a Sapor. On this mod, I don't hit the power until I have it in my mouth and ready to inhale, then it only needs like one second of power to provide a nice long DL hit.

To MTL it only takes a fraction of a second.

I don't have this tank so I'm not going to pretend to be an expert. But you might have a little flooding. Grab a paper towel and wrap it around the air flow, hold the mod upside down fire the mod and BLOW into it for a few seconds to get the excess juice out. Then it should work fine.

Isn't the Tesla 2 a 100 watt semi regulated mod? It may be overpowering those coils if they're rated 40 to 60 watts
