Help with slanted sides of Hammond 1590G

I bought a 1590G today with a painted blue finish. Just realized it had the slanted sides, and I'd really like for the 510 to sit flush. Sanding the too down will ruin the paint.

Any ideas to get the 510 not to lean?!

Is the 510 mounted in allready? I really like the fat daddy 510s with the locking ring, just about anything you put on it looks flush

Nope, not mounted yet. I've seen some mods where the whole connection is crooked, not just the atty on top. I think I've since figured it out. Mamu posted a pic on the OTHER forum where she trimmed the bottom of the washer to match the angle of the box
