FCC Commissioner Wants to Ban E-Cigarette Ads, Because 'Public Interest'

... while ignoring the fact that the FCC has absolutely no authority to do that.
... while ignoring the First Amendment.
... and without a shred of evidence that they have a net negative effect on the public health.

Now let's cut to the chase. There's only one "e-cigarette" company doing any substantial amount of broadcast advertising these days. They just happen to be one that recently took a big investment from Altria, so obviously they're evil. Moreover, their ads appear primarily on "right wing" talk radio. So that would be injuring two birds with one stone from a Democrat Commissioner's perspective.
