I currently have a regular Dripbox. It's my first foray into sqonking, and I like it, so I want to move up to the better, more versatile mod. I'm planning to order a Dripbox 160 in the next few days and had a question concerning the Batteries I should buy for it.
I've been pricing the Dripbox 160 on several sites, and reading all the descriptions. One of the site descriptions specifically said NOT to use flat top 18650s with the mod. Is this correct?
Subsequently, I need suggestions on what Batteries to buy for the Dripbox 160. I'm only a few months into Vaping, and a month into Drip/Mod type devices. The whole battery issue is completely foreign to me. I could use all the help I could get.
I'm not a fan of real warm to hot vapor, so my initial plan is to run .5 - .7 ohms at 40 to 50 watts with plain Jane Kanthal 24 gauge coils until I can educate myself more. According to all the calculators I've visited, that will give me a mildly warm vapor, which is what I'm looking to achieve.
I have paired LG HG2 20A 3000mah batteries, but I don't think they'd cut it in the Dripbox 160. And they're flat tops, which the one site claimed was a no go. I could really use some help steering me in the right direction.
I really like the Sqonking thing, and think the Dripbox 160 would be great since I can run it at whimp status, and have the option to step up to higher watts later if I decide to.
Hope someone can help.
