With a fresh battery in a mech (4.2volts) if you have a dual coil dripper at .4ohms you are vaping at 44.1 watts.

for 5 minutes...
Right, that's 100% the reason a vaper would need a 50 watt mod.
A 100 watt mod could vape that well without even breaking a sweat.

They need to scrap the screw idea and add 4 magnets like all the other nice high wattage boxes

I put in a suggestion to P4Y about the magnets. It seems the IPV3 100 watt box (same box) will have FOUR of those little bastards!!
I also suggested 2 18650's (the prototype only has one)

If they are only going to have 1 18650 than i will be getting a shiny new 100 watt dual 18650 sigelei box that has the same chip in it.
I like my Duke & Hex ohm boxes with no screens, no reverse battery protection, and you have to make sure not to go above 10amps (you CAN push it to 12 but why try it?) or you will fry the OKR-T10 chip over my IPV2 just because those boxes have dual 18650's
With a .6ohm atty the IPV2 only lasts 2 and 1/2 hours with a sony vct5 in it..
The Hex Ohm and the Duke? All day @ .5ohms, 10amps, 50watts!
A 100watt single 18650 box will have less than a 2 hour lifespan with the best 18650 made (Sony VCT5 30amp 2600mah)

i have to agree. If P4Y is smart enough to mod the sx330 v3 chip for firmware update and usb charge then they must realize the need for this to be a dual 18650 unit (and compare it to sigelei's).
The ipv2 box has plenty of space for another 18650. They would need to machine a new back plate (and hopefully add magnetic closure)

2.5... is that a reality or are you speculating?

I was just dreaming.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if they did make another run of the 50watt boxes with the dual 18650 form though?
100watts is great but I am not going to use all 100.
At least with the 100watt box I will only be working the electronics to 50% or less of their potential which should make it last longer right?

True. If i build down to minimum ohms with (for instance) a quad coil twisted kanthal i might go 50+w.
2 batteries would be a must for any real period of time to vape though.

For sure.
The lower you go in ohms the higher you are going to need to go in wattage to get a decent vape.
A mech will go to these high wattages but only a 4.2volts (for about 3 minutes) but the lower the ohms on a mech the less safe it becomes, and the quicker the battery drains.
This is one reason that I thank the vape gods daily for high wattage box mods.
That and the ability to vape at sub ohm levels at 4.5volts :)

I JUST got a response from P4Y... the new 100 watt box WILL use two 18650's, will have the USB, and will have a firmware upgrade to 120w... maybe 150 watts by the end of the year (they didn't explain how they modified the sx330 v3 chip)

The BilletBox is so beautiful that I would be afraid to use it!
Are they putting higer wattage chips in them or is it still strictly a dual 16XXX series battery mod?

still using dual 16 x 34's . I would expect this one to be a great box for the desk at work or for drivers. I would love to be pushing major clouds myself, but I don't have anything yet that can do it. I stuck with smaller clouds for now, due to the fact that i sit with the kids a lot and watch Netflix, if i was throwing clouds nobody would be able to see Ugly Betty....next box I personally get however, will be something I can put 1.2 to 1.0 attys on.

I have been known to put a Protank 2 with an aerotank base (adjustable airflow) on a DNA30 mod and turn it all the way down to 7watts to take out and about.
