community opinion badges

I'd like to see community awarded badges. If someone is knowledgeable, helpful, funny, whatever. 10 votes get them a badge next to their name. I'd also like there to be badges for troll, cry baby, and asshat. I'm sure there are many possibilities. Could make them 30 day duration in case someone changes their ways.

That's a cool feature. Unlock badges after X likes or something like that. Not sure if the negative ones would be that great though.

But wouldn't it be nice to know before you read a post if the author is an asshat?

The thing is, how would you determine who gets that? I don't think a mod would want to be responsible for tagging people as such. Plus if they are indeed one, it will likely come through and you can make a judgement. Reward the good and don't feed the trolls. Some people would actually go out of their way to earn those negative ones.

Was thinking more like little pictures/emoticon type things. Not necessarily words, click on tells what it's for. The big word blocks can be a bit much
