Last 2 paragraphs:
"Smokers who switch to using electronic cigarettes may be just switching one addiction for another."

I personally think this is the comment of an uneducated individual.
The reason is it makes no sense:
You ARE NOT giving up nicotine for 'something else'.
If a person said methadone is trading one addiction (******) for another it is true because they are 2 different substances but nicotine and nicotine are the same thing no matter how you look at it! -5150

But switching from smoking to vaping is trading one addiction for another...

Trading one horrible stinky deadly addiction, for a healthier tastier (arguably cheaper) less addicting addiction. So yea, I don't see the point.
