Capella Gingerbread... smells like alcohol?

Hello everyone, I just received an order from a vendor here in the UK and when I opened the bottle to give it a quick smell all I can smell is an odd alcohol smell (certainly doesn't smell like gingerbread lol)

I've read this could be normal with flavourings that use alcohol in the extraction but thought I'd query about this particular flavour here hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can help

The flavouring is just clear coloured, but as I have not used this particular flavouring before I'm unsure if it's just because the flavouring needs to steep or somethings gone wrong with this batch

i'd contact your vendor where you purchased it and ask them.
