I don't live in North Carolina but if you do you may want to vote for Commissioner Steve Shell if you see him on the ballot.
He's making a lot of sense here:

"Commissioner Steve Shell has not been happy about how governments have used money to combat drug use on the county, state and national level.

He especially wasn’t happy to learn that the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services gave a $3,750 grant to the Davidson County Health Department for the specific use of an anti-youth-tobacco campaign.

Health Director Lillian Koontz explained that the Health Department planned to use the funds for billboards depicting the dangers of vaping since that’s rising among the youth.

Shell described it as a waste of money from the state.

“We’re spending so much money,” Shell said. “We’re just throwing money away. We need to re-target those funds to really have an impact on our society and the things that are really victimizing this society. Most areas, we don’t have enough money and we don’t have enough money because we keep stupidly spending money on things that nobody sees an impact in. If a parent don’t want their children vaping, that’s their responsibility. Raise your children. That’s much more easy to manage than other types of vices.”"
