Who's got one of these SICK top fill RTA Yet? What are your opinions? Are they easy to build on? Inquiring minds want to know.......
How's the flavor/airflow compared to the silverplay?I absolutely love mine. In comparison to the Goblin and Silverplay, it's alot easier for me to build on. Clouds are incredible and so is the flavor. Mine is from their second batch, and the quality on mine was flawless. #1 rta in my arsenal...by far.
Honesty the airflow is about the same. But, the Cthulhu is easier to build on and has greater flavor. I have had no real leaking issues with the Cthulhu.@StanM Thats good to hear. I got one sitting in canadian customs. Maybe just me but I have had problems with my goblin leaking and am hoping that this one won't. Is the air flow as much as the goblin?

The Cthulhu rep on the other thread said the ones at fasttech are clones.
It's certainly a clone. But from what I read, comparable in qualityI have 2 of them and they are great. However, I top filled the first one I built and about 1/2 the juice leaked out and fast. Blew it clear and have bottom filled ever since with no leaks at all. Go figure??? As mentioned by others, great flavor and vape, so much so that I was on Fasttech the other day and couldn't resist getting 2 more. They didn't use the word "style" so don't know if they are real or clones. Must be clones for the price.
Some clones hit before the originalDAMN!! Clones already?? DIDNT they JUST come out on the market?? (Or am i STILL living under a rock??)
Yup, still an issue. I just make sure the chimney is extra tight on the barrel. After using the Cthulhu for quite some time now, I found the only real PITA is unscrewing top portion to fill. The drip tip isn't tight enough to help unscrew it and it's difficult to use your fingers. Luckily I keep a Delta II drip tip around. It is tight enough to help unscrew it.So mine just came in the other day, there was a shipping snafu at Smog but they made it right and did it quick so shout out to those folks.
Anyway, I put it in the sonic cleaner and then washed it and lubed the o-rings, checked for airflow obstruction etc etc. I haven't built it yet (later today) but there is one thing that is bothering me about the top fill. You know how the top section is two pieces that screw together? Well number one, what a pain in the ass getting those two pieces apart even with lubed o-rings BUT when I take the top section off like I'm going to top fill, it keeps grabbing and turning the chimney off the deck. Doesn't take the chimney all the way off but it's backing the threads out.
I've tried tightening and loosening that nut that goes on top and it doesn't matter, every time I take that top section off, it turns the chimney. I see there's a little o-ring in there that could put friction on the top of the chimney but even lubed it is still grabbing. Is this a non-issue once you start vaping it? Has anybody else had to deal with this?

Yeah, I can see it has issues, even after lubing the o-ring for the AFC, it's pretty stiff. I gotta say, though, not to shabby at all. Great flavor for a tank and wicked nice vapor production. For the love of all that is holy, this thing GUZZLES juice though.
So I've had my Cthulhu for a little over a week. Still playing with it. Vapes really well. Love the airflow. Watched several vids on wicking it as I can't seem to get it just right. Specifically I'm having a problem with the top fill leaking when filled. Yes the afc is closed. If I put enough cotton in the channels to prevent leaking when filling I limit the wicking a little to much. I've been putting a silicone plug in the chimney while filling and this prevents leaking but means carrying that with me.
I too have leaking isues. I havent tried to use the bottom fill yet. The leakin, however, seems to go away after a couple hits. Strange... By the way... This is my first RTA & I have next to no experience building. There is a learning curve.... (I hope..)lolSo I've had my Cthulhu for a little over a week. Still playing with it. Vapes really well.
