Pioneer 4 You has come out with another product its the iPV4-S
Its a 120 watt device out of the box, Features Temp control for Titanium and Nickel.
Not sure on the Joules as of yet ,but will update when that info comes in. This updated iPV4 S is still a dual 18650 device ,but with some hardware changes and software changes aswell. No more 9 volt charger port they have completely removed it. Still has a micro usb port for linking to do software updates and a few various other refinements aswell.
Price should be around the same as the original iPV4. The current original iPV4 will be discontinued so this new device will replace it.
If you look on pioneer4you.com the original iPV4 isn't even available anymore.

Info on Mod Here or buy from here in stock.
http://www.ecigaretteempire.com/IPV4-S-Box-Mod-pioneer4you-p/ipv4s.html

note: according to Pioneer4you the release date will be around July 10th

" Introducing the IPV4 S, the upgraded version of the IPV4 by Pioneer4You. P4U developed this product to fix the few issues on the IPV4 V1. it's already upgraded to 120W and compatible with (NI200 and TI01 ) as well. The IPV4S is structurally different than any IPVs they came out with. In comparison of the IPV4s and the IPV3, it comes close for having the identical size but the IPV4s is slimmer and has a new grip look to it. The grip on the IPV4s is almost rubbery looking. The unit is also less bulky and pointy like the IPV3. The IPV4s has rounder corners and more sleek. You can also remove the grip to gain access towards the battery slots. The IPV4 S takes 2 18650 batteries which gives it more power. The max wattage on the unit is 120w starting at 0.1 ohm. It is powered by a new Yihi sx chip. (sx 330v3c). you can control your temperature heating. As like the other units in the IPV family, it will still have the memory function in 5 different types. The slide cover for the batteries is one of the newest addition towards the unit. The grip part of the unit can pop right off to access your batteries. The resistance on the IPV4S is 0.10ohms to 3.0ohms "

We are proud to introduce the hottest box mod from Pioneer4You, the iPV4-S.
The iPV4-S fires up to 120 watts at 0.1 ohms, making it compatible with Ni200/Titanium and utilizes the newest YiHi Chip (330v3c).
This gives you the best features like temperature control, warmer vapes and better flavor. You will avoid those disgusting dry hits with the iPV4-S.
The iPV4-S is very similar in size to the iPV3-Li but its slimmer, rounded edges and has a better grip than the previous version.
The device is powered by (2) 18650 batteries with a very nice magnetic battery back, to change out the batteries easily.

The iPV4-S by Pioneer4You is one of the sleekest dual 18650 box mods on the market. You will not be disappointed because of it compact size, yet with the best features you want in a box mod. A personal favorite of ours!

You can select what type of coil you are using in Temp Control via the menu it's similiar to the iPV3 Li v1.6 200 watt software update.

So, what about the firmware update for all of us beta testers? Kind of pisses me off that they would go and announce something like this before they take care of their loyal lab rats. P4Y just may have lost any future business from me. I'm sure they will be sad... NOT.

From what I was told there will still be an update for the original ipv4 not sure when though But Id imagine they release before this new mod hits our shores.

I completely agree MarkS. We all know the "new" model is coming. I mean can you say iPhone 4, 4s/5, 5s. But, at least Apple waited a year. I think to release a new model literally 6-8 weeks after so many purchased the IPV4 original is ridiculous. It was bad enough when the 3Li came out, but this makes me run from P4U. Instead of sending these out to "famed" reviewers why not get a couple hundred "normal" vapers to beta them and give feedback. And, because of how fast these things are coming out the "famed" reviewers can't even keep up. Dimitri is seldom releasing reviews, Todd/Scotland is stopping reviewing, PBusardo has only released one review in 2 weeks. How bout giving the general vaping public an opportunity and maybe you don't have to release an updated version weeks after the original.
And, hearing that they've removed the 9v charge port (never planned to use it) especially after so many issues with the IPV3 issues certainly says, we're just after the money! Well, they've gotten the last of mine. Too many good products available now! I got burned with the IPV4, but that will be it for me!!!

With me this announcement adds insult to injury. They released the 3 Li following the 4 and that didn't bother me much. But, then they do an update to the 3 Li before the update to the 4 and now they announce a big revision to the 4 before the update. Totally sucks on their part.

No matter where you go, take your Vape!

Is it just me of is the picture in the OP of a normal black IPV4? I mean, I have mine on the table in front of me and I'll be damned if its not an actual picture from about a month ago of the black IPV4 at that time. It's described as being different in the info. Any chance that the only actual changes are charge board removed and update already installed?

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the "changes" listed in there are from the description of the original IPV4 compared to the original IPV3.

I doubt they're going to switch out tooling to make a new body when they can just not include the charge board this time round.

I'm with you on this. For as bad as the description is, the website listing it might have made the whole ipv4s thing up!

So glad I took back my 4 and got the 3Li. Pionner once again fucked us. Kinda like cloupors "you'll love our new model" when you asked about a fimware update they answer with that.

I've only had my IPV4 for a week or and yes the box feels kinda cheap and the battery cover is a bit loose. The charger port I closed off immediately and put an insulator against the charger board. However I knew what I was buying when I purchased it. There will always be a new model coming out and I can't afford them all so I just have to make do and limit my purchases. I will say though that this baby vapes extremely well. I have a 350j chip mod and I can't tell the difference between this and it. This mod get the majority of the use between the two of them mainly because of the dual batteries and quick changing of them. I don't have to worry about damaging this device and it works as a bottle opener. If they put out a firmware revision I would surely update to it but if not thats fine also.

I'm pissed, screw p4u.. I have had my IPv4 for 6 weeks now and they're releasing a new IPv4 without even giving us a firmware update!! They suck!!

I hear the first version of the ipv44 cannot take the new firmware hence the ipv4s. If this is true that's fucking weak.

So if the first version cannot be upgraded, what the hell is the micro usb port for? If it is true that the first version cannot be upgraded as indicated in all their documentation and adverts, they will have lost me as a customer and as many people I can tell.

Obviously it won't accept the firmware for the IPV3-Li or IPV4-S if the S has a different chip, but they could still release an update that's actually for the original IPV4.

this is the issue with upgradable firm ware

It sounds great doesn't it. And there have already been examples of how great it can be. But what if the actual hardware on the board can not do what the firmware upgrade is meant to do.

So if you think upgradable firmware means the device could last much much longer and just be upgraded to do the next cool thing - it obviously doesn't mean that. I mean why else would p4u release a new ipv4 if the old one could just take the new firmware to do what the new ipv4 can I mean sure it could be a tactic to sell more products, but at the expense of everyone who bought an ipv4 being pissed off for quite a while.

to me upgradeable firm ware is a marketing gimmick.

with the rate technology and tastes keep changing in the vape world, every device is disposable if you want to have the "in" thing so why spend more then $40-60 on a device that has a built in battery. By the time the battery wont charge any more the NEXT THING is out in a similar form factor for the same price range

Even if you spent say $100 on a mod 6 months or so ago and your happy with it and it works fine, you dont have TC. so if you want TC you need a new mod, and even if that old mod has upgradable firmware that dont mean the boards hardware can handle TC or they will release firmware for TC.

The thing is they could do things with the upgrade like have TC memory save your settings in M1-5, possibly boost to 120W, fire down to 7 watts (as advertised), etc. The thing is that there are some improvements they could make! They produced the iPV Mini with the USB and clearly said it was not upgradable... they then turned around and put out the Mini 2, that is swallowable.

The IPV4-S is clearly being released as a band-aid to the charge board issues, they're pulling it with a new model number.

Even if they can't provide the power and joules upgrades with an IPV4 firmware release, they can at least fix the coutstanding issues with the current firmware like memory settings not even working.

Since he responded to you, could you get clarification if the firmware (software) will be for the original iPV4?

I have the IPV4 and have had none of the issues mentioned. I never intended to use a 9 V charge port for 18650 batteries and just plugged up the hole with a piece of rubber. The memories settings work fine.

Only one question: Why couldn't you use titanium coils with this if you want? The nickel builds work fine but am just curious.

I don't see why you couldn't use a Ti build in it, just have to adjust the temperature offset would be all. And of course following all the safety stuff involved.

You can run Ti in it, it's just not going to monitor as accurately as nickel.

I wish the memory settings worked on mine though, it won't even remember in power mode.

Maaaaan,as much as i love my Black Ipv4 srew P4U. Its pretty obvious whats going on here....such bullshit. Buuut i have the answer to all your problems(problem meaning: " Im sick of ordering a mod and then the following week something better comes along, what should i do? ").

CloudMaker Technologies - http://cloudmakertech.com/

CloudMaker Whiteout Box Mod
I wont go into to much detail but pretty much this is a future proof mod here. Everything can be customized/changed. Where talking from the panels that make the mod(every single part interchangeable w/different colors)to the guts inside being all true plug and play swap able (no soldering required).

There will be 3 different chips/boxes offered (right now only 2 models are up for pre-order):

CloudMaker Whiteout DNA: This one(i personally have ordered :-D) will have the DNA200 chip in it as well as a 1000mah 3s Lipo batter, which can be upgradeable to 1300mah at expense of a slightly larger backdoor panel if desired.

CloudMaker Whiteout SX: This one will have the sx350j chip found in the SX Mini M-Class and be powered by dual 18650s

CloudMaker Whiteout OS: To be released soon after the DNA/SX have been out. This will be the 3rd chip offered in the Whiteout series, this chip will be CloudMakers own in house "revolutionary Ares chip". I havent read much into this one. I do know since its there own chip it will be a little cheaper, supposedly around the $150+ mark.

Yes these mods are expensive. But for what these can do,its worth it. Soon(like they might even be up already on the site) there will be options to buy different "color panel kits" to change up the look of your mod. Also, each Whiteout is coming with a 'Clear' panel kit as shown in one of the pics(the back door is clear and you can see internals of box.

Hope this helps someone about to order a TC or ANY Box Mod for that matter and realizes these are well worth the extra cash. In my opinion.

To anyone who is interested in these. You can pre-order them now off of Smogs website here:http://www.smogdistribution.com/. Or the Cloudmaker site itself:http://cloudmakertech.com/. I prefer the smog store bc i always order from themm plus i got in on there early pre-order deal. They had the dna or sx going for $189 shipping with each 3 flavors of there smog juice line in 30mg bottles(so 90mg),as well as the hastur rda.So around a $60value. No smog and cloudmaker are not the same. To quickly some it up smog orders from cloudmaker and then sells there product. For those unaware smog is a great place for 'pre-order' and Mostly known for its awesome Group Buys at low prices(got my IPV4 from them for $60shipped). Check'em out...

No i dont work for them, just a good run site/group of guys. Make sure to check'em out over on reddit:https://www.reddit.com/r/SmogGB. Might as well through in the CloudMaker reddit as well:https://www.reddit.com/r/cloudmaker/

I think this would be better suited in it's own thread. So it does not derail this one. But I have read about this device. Look forward to seeing more.

I imagine that ultimately it's YIHI that has to release the update, not P4U...right? Like the update for the IPV3 Li that came out. So really it's not like the update firmware is in the hands of P4U given to them by YIHI who said "Hey, here's that update everybody wants, go ahead and post it on your site whenever YOU feel comfortable that OUR programmers that made the chip in the first place did it right....lol

greenleaf is a joint venture between the owner of yihi and the owner of sigelei. but yes yihi gives software for updates to greenleaf after they package it. Then greenleaf test's the sw in-house to make sure it works with their device the way they have it setup.

Yeah, I just double checked the release dates on the YIHI and p4u sites for the ipv3 updates: the same update came out on 6/18 at p4u as 6/29 on YIHI, so there's no telling who might have it up first, I think you're right though. Lol...it's probably all just one guy at the top of all of it over there anyways...
