From a female perspective, lots of things going on in the female body that can't be explained, or need to be treated, causing further issues. I can say that it's not always fun to go through, either. On the other hand, some women can just be a bitch, too.

Good to hear from the other side! The hardest part is that there is no identifiable problem. I know that no matter what I do, on some days it's just going to go down whether I want it to or not. I'm no saint, but I definitely try not to antagonize. It's simply beyond both parties' control.

No, I know. I can only imagine how difficult it would be for a guy to try and make it all make sense. I'm not saying we have it tougher than guys do. Nope. It's a gift and a pain in the ass to be female. My boyfriend and I have struggles, like any other relationship. At the end of the day we are each other's best friend and we try very hard to keep out lines of communication open. We don't do this perfectly, not by any stretch.

I've gotten a taste of that kind of stuff with the whole PTA thing at my son's school. Scary!

Funny, I used to play sax in a band with my father, the drummer. I sang a bit as well (my vocals drastically improved after switching to vaping!). I quit last November because my better half is getting her bachelors degree. More time with the kiddos for me.
I play drums and have jammed with a sax player (along with other musicians) a couple times and to tell you the truth it was some of the best jams too! Good Times! Near Kansas City?

One post on Craigslist of a sax player looking to jam and you're set! Surely you could pull off one night a week. Dad still drumming?

Our little corner of the jam room here, (wife and I) she plays short scale bass's out of the Carvin rig I put together for her over the winter. Good Times!

That's awesome! Yeah my dad and the band still play on. I really enjoy playing with them, but we've been down a guitar player for almost a year, the year before that our singer was out with vocal cord nodes. So in combo with all that and my family needing me around more, it just made sense to put it all on hold. I'll get back to it for sure. Nice set up, btw! I know more about drums than I should for not playing them! ;)

Stop talking about me like that:eek::D
If u my sweet friend are a bitch then those things I work with that talk to me like scum and do nasty things with our lovely residents must be some super word past the c word that a sailor himself couldn't pronounce, but I know I'm an asshole so its all good if u see yourself a way that others do not, even tho we know its wrong.

I am in the same boat my friend. I used to have a group of friends, both couples and singles. I am now in my fifties and everyone has either moved or just got too absorbed in their personal lives. My last real friend who is like a brother to me moved 1,500 miles north and married a psycho bitch who is on my "if I am ever told I have three months to live" list - if you get my drift.
So, what I have began doing is visiting my local vape shops with a mech mod and dripper in hand. I sit that the juice bar, try a few samples, and socialize with other customers for a bit and drop few bucks for some juice I don't really even need to show support for the B&M.
I have as good a time as I would in a bar without the risk of a DUI and I make some good acquaintances.

Looks like I'll have a little socializing at the local shop this week when I pick up some nickel wire. Things have been a bit better since my fiancée had the weekend off. Thanks to all of you for empathizing/sympathizing!

Hey, jmoney! I'm a long-time mostly lurker myself although I've been dipping my toes in the DIY forum recently. I was married a while back and found out that, among other things, mutual friends seem to be part of the division along with property. I don't want to be your friend ... just thought I'd share that.

You know I'm clownin' you. We're all here 'cause we have one thing in common and inevitably find even more as we communicate with one another. Music, f'rinstance: I'm a guitarist and singer. Started taking lessons when I was nine, hated it, quit & taught myself. Played my first gig (in a bar, no less) when I was 14. Unlike most players, I didn't quit right out of high school and have continued making music eve since.

You don't say where you're from and neither did @Hey! it's just Ray... but I'm looking to meet some new friends in RL to jam with, too!

You found a nice, friendly place to hang, jmoney; I'll look forward to seeing you around the forum!

I feel you OP.

In high school and college, I had many friends.
As I aged, we moved apart, moved away, or just stopped communicating.
Slowly I stopped wanting to go to the same bars every night etc

The past 5 years, I've been coming home every night, and saving money.

Is this what getting old is about? Haha oh well

I'm actually in Western NY, so no luck there!
But glad to find another musician here!
