Hang in there Countrypami, there is a lot of reading I am doing and some of it is not sticking. This vape thing is like having to know rocket science at times and a bit much for a noobie to keep patient and keep trying to learn it. ;) I can not tell you guys enough, how much I appreciate all your input and help on this.

So after re-reading the PG/VG info, I am leaning towards PG because I am "throat hit" smoker. When I tried those e-cigs, I tried a few and none of them gave me that satisfying hit to the back of the throat. So now knowing that does it change anything in the configuration I have chosen? Would saving the istick for later and trying a starter kit be better? All I know is I want to quit smoking and cold turkey did not work 2 times now and I have been reading vape info for two days straight. Again Thank you guys so much for hanging in there with me. I am almost out of the gate with just my first try of vaping lol

Just for S&G, my iStick 40W with the older MELO2 tank.

It's charging on my computer, but I do not recommend that. Nor do I suggest hangin' it off the top like that..lol.

I have a home-built custom computer and an aftermarket dedicated USB3 1A charging port that runs off a SATA hard drive cable. And, I have a Seasonic 520W power supply that can handle the amps.

Your average laptop or WorstBuy POS PC with a Chinese 150W power supply cannot safely charge most vapes. That is how fires happen.

Use a wall-wart charger it hopefully came with. ;)

My PC is a hardcore gaming PC with a 1500W power supply. I charged it with the wall charger it came with ;)

I understand completely. Vaping is far more complicated now than it was 7 years ago when I started. That is why I'm pushing you to read the Vaping 101 blog post. It will simplify things for you and make it easier to digest.

You can't match high PG to subohm vaping, you'll end up with nothing but burnt juice. If you want high PG for the throat hit, you're gonna need a MTL tank with a coil above 1.0 ohm.

Yes, I do believe a simple starter kit would be better. However, you do have a decent starter mod. You just need to match the right tank with it. ;)
