Drone has landed!

Origin didn't include the 3 extra squonk bottles but will be sending them out after I called them.

One note, the top of the mod was covered with machine oil....wondering how that's gonna effect things if it is in the 510 area as well? Is it cool to swab out the area with alcohol? I'm not sure which would taste worse vape wise between alcohol or machine oil...

That would piss me off....mine should be here today, hope the hell there isn't oil on the 510.....!

Think I'd use dawn and hot water, then just hot water to rid the soap.

How should I go about doing it so that I don't get water anywhere it's not supposed to be? Maybe out it in the bottle and do a few passes that way? I don't want to fuck anything up and am unsure how to go about flushing the soap completely from the 510 area...

Hold it upside down, spray the top of the mod with soapy water in a spray bottle.

Did you take the top of the bottle apart to see if there is oil in the bottle or hose too.

No I haven't yet, gonna play with it in a bit. Don't have a spray bottle but I'll figure something out. I really hope it's not down in the 510 and/or bottle!

Indeed it's the Gorge that is holding it up, 4/17/17. I checked my order and it said the Brass CV is ready to ship. We shall see. I have learned that patience is a virtue when it comes to getting stuff from China... :wait:

I'm just hoping the PRC (Peoples Republic of Cali) doesn't intercept it to snag the nasty tax they just instituted on all things vape...

Ok, hopefully I got it all. I used a bowl with got soapy water and a toothbrush scrubbed the top of the mod and inside 510 area (holding mod upside down with paper towels wrapped around it all the way up). Cleaned off the soap using clean water in the toothbrush a few times over. Soaked the bottle and tuning and then when the tube was dry I attached it inside and blew out through it to force up any soapy water left in the fees tube. Rinsed once more and now hopefully good.

Looking at the inside of the box you could see the oil on the top...

A few other minor tolerance issues ie. gap between faceplate and base of mod, top of battery door not completely flush with mod, and plastic inlay on top of mod on squonk side not flush like the other side...

Other than these minor issues she looks beautiful. Now I gotta build up an atty and give her a spin, hoping fingers crossed her little bath didn't cause any issues...

How bad is the tax? I'm getting ready to move to Palo Alto so if love to know how bad I'm gonna get screwed going forward..

I'm glad I DIY and have a stock of nic in the freezer, 28% added to vendor juice that has nic would be nucking futs. 0 nic juice is not taxed.

So, now that I have a Nuppin ( and love it), I must start the triade quest.
I have one Vicious Ant Cyclone thanks to @JuicyLucy 's kindness. I prefer the fixed airflow ('cause I don't know any better) and with a tricoil it is a great MTL squonking atty. I also have the newer AFC Cyclone that will go visit the chowder shop very soon but I need to find a third one, preferably squonk ready.
I have a chowder version of the Derringer and an authentic Derringer but I think I'm happy with those and a plain ol' drippin' Derringer.
I have 2 RM2, one with the original air flow, the other with drilled out (about 2mm) air flow and as soon as funds become available, REO will get an order for the third.

Just ordered a stab-wood octopus door to mod for my Orcas from Minimalsaint. The current bandaid is working fantastic and has a slightly larger squonk hole. I just hope I have the patience to slowly shape the door.

I located the spare door for you, desk kitteh played a little hockey with it and it took an apparatus to dislodge it from under the file cabinet.

I placed a preorder with Gearbest 1st week of March. April 4th Gearbest emailed me that they would not be able to fill my order due to "distributors inability to supply". I immediately tried to place an order elsewhere only to find that some vendors apparently had received small shipments but were already out of stock. I checked their listing.. and sure enough they were taking orders with a projected shipping date of 24APR17 to 05MAY17! This pretty much lit me up. I immediately opened a ticket with Gearbest asking how it was possible for them to be taking orders for a product that they had told me would not be available. They responded that the product was not in stock (Duh!). I asked why they forced me to accept cancellation of my order when they were still taking orders from new customers... They dodged that question and refused to answer while apologizing profusely. Bottom line, my preorder cost was less than $140 (Preorder discount). Their current price is $165+. I lost my place in the front of the preorder line so that they could sell the item to someone else st a higher price! I asked why the listing no longer said, "Preorder" or saying something like "Coming Soon". They didn't answer that question either. Over the last couple of years I've spent over $400 with Gearbest. My complaint ticket is still open and I intend to berate them until I get an honest answer. My next step will be to ask for further communications to be between one of their sales managers and myself. When I finally get some sort of satisfaction from them, I am done dealing with Gearbest. All of my Vape buddies will hear about this blatant mistreatment. Gearbest will never get another penny will come from me! AVOID GEARBEST!

Agreed, but a cigar is cheaper!

After one day using the Speed Revolution, it is pretty good, the airflow is fixed, very much like the Cyclone v1. Flavor is pretty good too, easy to build.
