Isn't venting what causes the "boom" though? At least in imr batteries. Quick build up of gases that can't escape the tube/battery casing quickly enough, causing a build up of too much pressure causing it to explode?I was curious and googled the pharaoh, I saw the button in the video that looked like the simple button but wanted to see what style top it had.
Venting happens when you are pulling a higher discharge rate than the battery can handle. It happens slowly, a hard short can be a boom.
I haven't vented a vape cell or a lipo racing rc cars. That goes back to lipo's infancy like over 10 years ago. If handled propperly, they are not dangerous and shouldn't be feared.
