I was doing a BCV order today and saw this on their site

Dear Customers:

As some of you may be aware North Carolina has introduced new regulations affecting the vaping community that will be enacted beginning June 1, 2015. This includes a new tax that will be assessed on sales of products containing nicotine. As a result, we are suspending all sales of nicotine, effective immediately. We are in the process of working out an arrangement where VapersTek nicotine, DIY supplies and an even larger selection of flavorings will be available to order all in one place! Our facility in Durham will become singularly focused on meeting the rapidly growing demand for flavorings suitable for DIY. We thank you for being loyal customers and look forward to handling all of your DIY needs in the weeks to come.

Sincerely,

Your friends at Bull City Vapor

Anyone got a suggestion as to where to get the VT Nic now?

is this the same stuff?

It IS the same. Reading so many articles about coming regualtion made me top off my personal stockpile and had another liter delivered just a couple days ago. Don't think I'll ever have to buy more NIC,.

yes saw the BCV letter last night... Heartbroken am i [he says in a yoda voice] - check'd for VT from vaperstek .. shipping is about the same for me so not too bad I guess. Was happy with BCV tho! sighh... I just started vaping .. and am liking it .. now they gotta mess it all up ... bleh~

We are in the process of working out an arrangement where VapersTek nicotine, DIY supplies and an
even larger selection of flavorings will be available to order all in one place!

on the lighter side seem's like BCV will be setting up another site for nicotine sales... guess they would prob have to set something up outside of NC..
"what's that? is that the sound of NC losing tax revenue?? stroke of genius on the part of their state legislature !! :p

lets hope that all the good vendors out there can weather the coming short sighted and small thinking chaos that is on the horizon.

Best of Luck - BULL CITY VAPOR!!

But why are you thanking Obama? Did he do something for you? You did note that BCV dropped nic because of new regulations passed by North Carolina, right?

Personally, my state, the great state of Indiana, has effectively made it illegal for me to DIY. With our new law, unless you have a clean room, video surveillance (which has to be retained something like 5 years), and a license, you cannot make e-liquid. It will also make it illegal to transport nicotine from outside the state. It doesn't take effect until next July, so I've got a while to bump my current 3.5 liter nic stash up higher. And, to top it off, vendor juice, regardless of where it is made, has to have the ingredients on the label as well as a QR code. This law is will basically cause the majority of the vape shops here to either 1) stop mixing juice in house, or 2) raise the price of juice they mix to cover the cost of the license, clean room, video recordings, etc.

Stupid of them; stupid of the NC legislature.

Ingredients listed, of course, unless 2ml or smaller non-refiillable, as not to piss off big tobacco. Written by the casino who owns the vault for and dba Indiana vapor co llc.

I was wondering why they've been "out of stock" on all their nic for the last few weeks. Placed an order with nicotine river today. This is becoming ridiculous.
I've been ordering from them too, you won't be disappointed. And we can always still get VT from their website, Vaperstek.org.

Without getting into politics, I dont blame you for blaming obama but obviously its a NC thing. It is absurd...we should be free to do whatever we want with our own bodies, ***Removed by Staff***. As long as we dont hurt another person, I should be able to ingest whatever I like.

Let's take a look at American history. During the time before the temperance movement made Alcoholic beverages illegal, numerous states went ape shit with taxes on Alcoholic beverages. When Prohibition finally came into force, the federal government and local and state governments felt the pinch of diminished taxes in their feeding troughs. Boozing and Alcoholism increased at a exponential rate, a lot people didn't just have a drink or two, they went out to a speakeasy or underground saloon and got blasted whenever they could afford it. The Mob supplied the booze and got rich and paid no taxes. After a time, congress relented and repealed prohibition, not because the people wanted it, but because they weren't making any taxes off of it, and the Mob was raking in Millions and getting powerful.

Now look at the governments, Federal and State and how they are taxing tobacco products. Since vapers are bypassing the taxation by using non-tobacco products, the government feels the need to vilify and tax vaping, possibly to the point of breaking small and large business' to satisfy a lust for taxes and to satiate their well monied benefactors, Big Tobacco and Big Pharma. Big Tobacco and Big Pharma have simply become the new Mob, with the government acting as their enforcers.

Indiana has passed severe and draconian laws against vaping. One of the first things made illegal in the time near Alcohol Prohibition was the movement of ANY alcoholic beverage across state lines. Didn't matter the quantity, ANY amount was illegal. Same with Nicotine liquid in the new Indiana law. See the similarity? It's history beginning to repeat itself. Instead of the Temperance movement banging the drums, it's Big Tobacco and Big Pharma this time because they will absolutely take the market by force if vapers allow it to happen.

If Vapers become Outlaws, then I will be an Outlaw Vaper. Big Tobacco won't get another thin dime from me. 6 years ago, I would have considered someone who thinks like I do now as a nutter - a conspiracy freak, as I smoked 2 freaking packs of Camel Straights a day. After spending a lot of time reading and researching the issues and a bit of history, I do believe that in the future the whole Prohibition issue will raise it's ugly head again, and their will be plenty of Zealots screaming for it, even those who still smoke tobacco.

haha, breazy. I actually know of a guy that has taken a jet ski to cuba a few dozen times over past decade. Dude just hops on and goes. Not too many people crazy enough to do that. Its usually the boats trying to get to the states, not the other way around...

Today I rescued 2 boats(14 lives on board), and taught 9 people how to drive jet skis and navigate waters they have never been in, all before 11am. After a million other things, I did a little unwinding with some bird watching...here is an Ospreys nest at a nearby private island that used to be owned by the band 311...

Sorry this has nothing to do with Obama and nicotine. I would say fight back, but we all know we will never win this battle.

Buy up enough nic juice so you can keep you and 5000 of your vape-hungry friends happy. This means more then a few hundred ML jars, dont be selfish, its cheap now. Youll be kicking your ass later on.

While obama is not to blame directly, every single scumbag who lives in the pockets of big tobacco, obama included, are 1000% to blame.
If it doesnt fund their cronys, it should be illegal, period.
How do you know when your living under a tyrannical govt? When safer alternatives to a widely used, highly addictive poison is restricted, taxed, and drummed out of town..
They refuse to allow our open market to keep us away from cigarettes. They will make more money if we all go back to smoking and they are happy to watch us die. The more of us smoke, the quicker we die and the less social security they will have to pay.

Don't hold back Pauly lmao But your right! If I stay quit they wont get my taxes, I'll live longer and be a burden on the health care industry ( because I wont be able to afford health care lol ) They'll have to pay me social security longer (If they don't rob from that) and they might even have to provide me senior housing and food stamps when I get older because I wont have anything left from paying tax on everything!

Its pretty clear, when we cease to be profitable to the state, our value to them has been used up. When a farmers livestock starts to cost the farmer money, it gets put down. Its a little more subtle with humans, but the ends are still the same. Also, they can allow us to destroy ourselves with tobacco, alcohol, and prescription drugs, which serves the same purpose. The problem is, when we start to find alternatives that help us to be healthier for longer(that dont fund big tobacco, big pharma, or big govt), they get demonized and restricted as a larger threat to our health.
This could be taken as simple loyalty to the money brought in by big corporations of deadly things, so we can be profitable while not producing any direct tax gains.
It could also be seen as savings on social security and senior health costs.
I think its a combination of the two.

We really can't say "nothing", since he's not doing anything to improve the national perception of vaping as a safer alternative. The political leaders of this country and others, have condemned vaping as a health threat equal to smoking, and the media (who panders to political and corporate interests) has made bullshit science on vaping mainstream.
Obviously our commander in theif has nothing to do with laws passed in NC. He also has nothing to do with supporting technology that can save the lives of millions of smokers.
I'm not blaming him, I'm blaming All OF THEM.
I agree, the title of this thread is very misleading in regards to the creators and supporters of the legislation

I agree with you somewhat...however, as important as this issue is to me and all of us, I would much rather see our leaders time and resources being allocated to remedying issues that are more big picture. This taxation and all that are sure to follow are indicative of a larger issue. As long as people running for office can take money from individuals and sham super pac's to fund their campaigns the law will ALWAYS favor those with the most money.

It is his fault. His lack of leadership to rightly push the FDA to show that this stuff is saving lives. But, money talks and BS walks, as they say.

And he's an ex smoker too. Or maybe he still smokes or vapes now?

+1

Absolutely correct. The FDA could squash all this anti-vaping crap by declaring that liquid nicotine in eliquid is not a tobacco product and is a smoking cessation product.

He looks like a Dweeb lol
Dweeb doesnt even start to describe this man.
I am curious how this tax is going to affect the sale of 100mg/ml nicotine concentrate since in its full strength is not usable unless you are trying to kill yourself. Bulk nicotine bought online from other states ? I just bought a gallon from NIC Vape. Which is in Spartanburg SC. Just over the NC border. I am considering a second one . Fill my deep freeze up with Nic.
