You don't like the FA coconut?

I've yet yo try it. I really should given all the favorable reviews I've seen, but I'm feeling "coconut burned." INW is ok, but I just really want that fresh coconut feel. Is that what FA provides?

Yep, like coconut milk and shreds of a fresh coconut. It's not the flavor of packaged, sweetened coconut, but you can use some other flavors to help sweeten it (a little FA Pear, Marshmallow...has to be a flavor that tastes sweet when you exhale).

Gee's I wish I could find a coconut I could taste. :(
I've tried NF, CAP, LA, VZ, HS, FW, TFA, INW, and FA ... nothing, no matter what %
I just got some Shisha Coconut, and I have my fingers crossed.
I went through all the Strawberry's until I found the Shisha Strawberry, so maybe the Shisha version will be a winner for me.

Also, ... hate to break your heart, but you can keep your FA Meringue too.
BTY ... HIC, have you tried the VZ Watermelon SCG, or have you finally found one ??

This is an example of the whole being much more than the sum of its parts.

The Whole

1.5% FA Guava
1.5% FA Mango
1.5% FA Grapefruit
1.5% FA Watermelon
1.5% FA Marshmallow

You can test it after you mix it, but it really requires 24 hours of steep time for the grapefruit to settle in. It is best vaped warm (40 watts), but it is good at 14 watts on 1.4 ohm single coil.
Optional: a bit of TFA Brown Sugar 0.5% helps to expand the flavors at low wattage.
The percentages can be upped or lowered 0.5% either way, but they should stay the same across the board.

So here's my thoughts on 4 tobaccos from FA thus far:

Dark Vapure - good at 1 week thus far! Has a bitter cocoa flavor to it, smoky character. Needs no bitter wizard imho

Desert ship - Really good at 1 week. Nutty and has that Turkish funk I enjoy. I went .5% bitter wizard with this one

Cam blend - Not like a tobacco at all, more like vaping sandalwood incense. It's interesting, I just need to find what it goes well with

Maxx blend - pretty good at 1 week. Really floral and perfumey when I mixed it, the smell dissapatet at a week. Sweet, almost like a honey flavor. .5% bitter wizard went in to this too.

So does the Bitter Wizard "harsh" up a sweet tobacco? I have a bottle, but I've never used it. I bought a bunch of things over a year ago, not knowing what they were for, LMAO.

What I'm getting is a lessening of the sweetness. I'm still testing the waters with it, but I don't notice any harshness. Thus far it seems to "dumb down" the sweet.

-Kingboomer

P.S. Definitely start at .1%, I can see where this stuff can wreck a good juice.

I just picked up another 15 feet from the hairdresser across the street. I had to force $5 on him for it. 10 months ago he gave me 10 feet of it and wouldn't take any money. It costs him $15 for 500 feet of it.

I find it is really useful for testing. There is no break in time involved. I do however prefer cotton for long term use. I guess I sort of don't trust rayon.
I'm excited to try it. When the lady at Sally pointed it out to me she said "$12 for 500 ft and yes that's the smallest box we carry." :D

I was going to ask has anyone ever tried a flavoring company called ..."Medicine Flower"...it is an organic flavoring company.....I tried a juice that uses their flavorings and wasn't impressed, but that could be the juice makers fault not the flavoring.

Hot dog! Not getting. Notifications for this thread. I've been. Eyeing fa grapefruit & Guava. Aw, did you post that 14 watts for me? Seems to be my sweet spot even with a single .6 ohm coil. So sick of driving...lots of 5 more minutes to go on this journey like 5 minutes x 40!

I've had Cap Sweet Guava and to me it tasted exactly like the canned guava nectar (which I like). Is FA Guava pretty similar?

Of course I did. Uh...Uh... not really. It tasted so much better dripping than it did in my Kayfun that I had to do something. I did think of you when I picked grapefruit over lemon sicily. Momma are we there yet? :)

OK tried the shade finally at 1% no bitter wizard: IT'S GOOOOD! Tastes just like tobacco. Also I did find that the maxx blend I got was in fact honey. 2 weeks of steeping and that's all I can taste. It's not a bad thing, as I was going to order honey anyway.

I have just barely dabbled with DIY Tobaccos (and only had one vapeable purchased tobacco). But I WANT to like a tobacco vape. I tried Hangsen No. 5 and HS desert ship and I didn't like them at all. Too ashy. In your opinion is FA Shade ashy at all?

a question for the veterans....I am hearing that exposing your nic base to too much air affects the flavor oxidizes it....I use a VG based nic, and because it's so thick I shake it alot with the idea it needs to have the nic mixed well....is this stupid on my part, and should I stop shaking it so much and getting more oxygen into it, ot does it matter.I also put the bottle in an ultrasonic sometimes to mix it.

Try NET tobaccos they will play hell with your coils but the flavor can't compare to artifical tobaccos.

You should shake your nic. Not to get into a big debate on nic, we have plenty of threads gone south for that, but nic does need to be shaken when you mix.

I only worry about oxidation as it regards long term storage. I take enough out of the freezer to last for a few weeks at a time. Shake, bake, whatever with what I have out.

I don't know if it's the placebo effect, or just me,but....I usually use nude nicotine, and I just tried mixing with VT for the first time....both VG nic base...juice mixed both at 12mg, same flavor recepies....both bottles of nic base warmed in hot water for a minute then shaken repeatedly...the result ..it seems to me that the nic base from VT delivers a quicker and harder nic hit than the nic base from nude nic......am I delusional?

Hi I'm newly registered here, but I have been trying to read through this whole thread over the last few weeks. Been reading when I get chance, not quite half way through yet though.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with the Diacetyl/Diketone content of some FA concentrates. The concentrates in question are Milk and Whipped Cream.

FA UK until recently didn't stock White Peach so I ordered some from FA Italy. To make it worthwhile with the shipping costs I ordered a few others including the above mentioned. I have however asked FA UK if they could provided the data sheets for the concentrates, but unfortunately as they don't stock them they can't.

I don't mind using a small amount of concentrates with Diacetyl, but I'd prefer to keep it to the minimum amount possible. I mainly stick with FA now though, and have acquired about 60+ of their concentrates over the last few months. I rarely use the other branded concentrates I have, which I'm sure have got some Diacetyl etc in them.

I have seen some posts whilst reading through the thread about Whipped Cream being used. So Im guessing even the concentrates with Diacetyl are easier to get hold of in other parts of the world (States?)

So can anyone help me with how much these concentrates would contain, and say if using 1% in a recipe.

Thanks

Hiya @S3rv3d,

I see you everywhere :)

I can't help you with your question but maybe @HeadInClouds or @wllmc can.

I think I remember reading HIC saying he subs whipped cream for Fresh Cream + Meringue... I may be wrong though.

Haha, Hi @StuPot. I know you're another FA lover, not many users of FA on the Apes forum though they all love their Capella and TFA. I'm mainly on the 2 UK Vape forums and AV forums.

I've been meaning to register here for a while, because of the useful info by the two guys mentioned and this thread itself.

Meringue and Fresh Cream does sound like they could sub Whipped Cream. Fresh is similar to Whipped but with more sweetness.

Milk tastes similar to Flavour West Milk, which I have as well. Which must have diacetyl in too. Now I've got the FA version I might as well use it I suppose. So if HIC or wllmc or anyone else has the info that would be appreciated.
