Allegations have surfaced of the reviewer asking vendors for cold, hard cash or an equity stake in their company in order to provide a review of their product.
Twisted420 has broken this news on
Reddit, and has promised to upload a video to his YouTube channel with even more information.
Here is a recent video from Rip Trippers in which he claims that he does not receive payment to review products, complete with text overlay. Just watch the first couple minutes:

An anonymous source has also claimed that a number of vendors have confirmed these allegations against Rip Trippers, but they refuse to go on record, as it may incriminate them in the public eye for paying for reviews.
