My blueberry custard turned out great. It's only steeped 5 days but it's really good.

CAP Vanilla Custard 5%
FW Blueberry 4%

I love simple :)

I have to make this for my son. He loves blueberry, and he loves custard. He didn't know he loved custard until I made some of Cromwell's for him.

(I'm not much of a fruit fan myself. Made that Strawberry Pavlova the other day, and now knocking myself on the head. Why? Why, I say? Just being a dumbass. Oh, sorry, y'all are still there!)

Thanks!

If I could find a recipe for Nilla Cake by Elysian, I would be in Heaven - it's been one of my all time favorite ADVs for a while now. I just bought another 6x 60ml bottles of it.
Damn! That’s a lot of juice! Maybe it’s time for some experimenting.......I have it, based on your love of it. I’ll give it a shot.

Element Vape's description: "Nilla Cake by Elysian Labs delivers a decadent vanilla cake, layered with rich infusion of butter battered and toppled off with whipped cream"

@CrazyChef v2.0 what else do you taste in it? We've all got a thousand damn vanillas, so somebody should be able to figure it out!

True.....and I’m guessing it’s simple. Makes it cheaper to produce. I’ll take it out for the rest of the day and taste what I can taste. I like it, too, so it will be fun to try to figure out. And I have the OG to compare it to! Yay!

I'm thinking Nonna's Cake, FA Cookie, some kind of butter (mine is TFA), and Cap Vanilla Whipped Cream, at least. Needs filling out with more vanilla and sweetener, maybe marshmallow, if a vanilla-wafer-type flavor is what's needed.

ETA: We might not come up with a clone, but I bet we'll come up with something yummy at the very least.

ETA2: Perhaps a dab of Zeppola?

Nonnas is a good option. I was thinking FW white cake, cap vanilla whipped cream, cap butter cream, sweetener, maybe butter of some ilk....maybe straight tfa whipped cream. FA Madagascar Vanilla? Maybe a French vanilla? The boys are going fishing tomorrow so I’ll have an empty house.....yay for mixing!

Yum yum yum! I love French vanilla. Rich.....now I’m gonna work on it tonight. Wheels are turning......

I wanna use WF buttercream frosting, but I’m not sure it was around when this was developed. But it might work.....

Here's what I have right now, but I'm sure it will continue to morph as the day goes by:

Butter (TPA) 0.4%
Cookie (FA) 1.5%
French Vanilla Deluxe (TPA) 2%
Marshmallow (DIY) 1.5%
Nonna's Cake (FA) 3%
Vanilla Whipped Cream (CAP) 3%
Zeppola (FA) 0.75%
Cool. I’ll mix this up when I get home. I’ll post mine in a few hours, when I settle in at home. But I think my start might look like this....

FW white cake 3%
Cap buttercream 2%
Cap French vanilla 1.5%
Cap VWC 2%
Cap super sweet 0.25%
Just a start. Many flavors in my head that could work.....

Sounds like we might end up with Nilla Cake Light and Nilla Cake Dark! That might be ok, too! :D I would definitely mix yours if I had the flavors, but white cake and buttercream, I don't have, and don't have anything that I think would be good subs. Maybe butter + cream cheese icing for the buttercream, but no sub for white cake. Closest I could come is Vanilla Cupcake, meh.

Lol! Maybe, huh? Yeah, vanilla cupcake is ok, but not what I’m tasting. Marshmallow is a good call.....so many testers tonight!

Wonder how that would be without the coffee...I love coffee, really, but can't for the life of me get into a coffee vape. Also don't like that it gets into my coils and will not leave no matter what I run behind it. But toffee, amaretto, whipped cream, coconut, and cinnamon sounds the bomb to me. Might add a little VBIC to it. :D Yeow!

One of my recipes for it is like this:
All Flavorah!!!
.21% Coffee
.40% Amaretto
.20% Toffee
.60% Whipped cream
.07% Coconut
.04% Rich cinnamon

With FLV, the coffee doesn't stick on your coils.. I can flip into a fruit mix right after, and sure it takes a few pulls, but then its a clean fruity... I don't use the standards.. and if it is too expensive for you to pick up all the flavors.. I can make a shot for you to try out.. I do sell shots on the flvfan page. :)

No doubt it sounds wonderful, and I would definitely like to try it if it doesn't sacrifice a coil. Will keep this in mind for when my stash dies down just a bit. Thanks!

I started the shots on site because I found a few have issues with certain flavors.. like strawberry and blue rasp..
This way I can share what I mix and taste and it won't cost an arm and a leg to just buy the flavors outright until you know what you are getting into.
Just grab me if you want.. I do custom mixes too, not on site ;)

I'm going to be playing around with VT Honeycomb this weekend - I have a caramel mix and I swear the Honeycomb has given it an almost cinnamon taste, I freaking love it, took like 2 months to show up though o_O probably the Butter Cream in it was hiding it, anyway gonna try some straight Honeycomb and then go from there

Honeycomb is a wonderful flavor! I need to find more uses for it. I just have it in a cookie/custard kind of thing right now.

So.....4 different versions steeping right now of Nilla Cake. I think I may be onto something with one of them.....I’m also thinking Caps cake batter may be a component. French vanilla of some ilk, cake(probably not FW white...too light) and def a sweetener. I also think @nadalama may be onto something with FA cookie or maybe even Caps sugar cookie. I did use the WF buttercream frosting in one. The percentages are all under 10% and I’m not sure where it’s going from there. Little 10 ml bottles, just waiting for a week.....the process begins. <3:ejuice::cloud:

Maybe? I don’t have it....just FW. Maybe with all the sales this weekend, I’ll splurge and get some. :DWorth a shot, eh?

What is the difference between the two, if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve heard so many people switching....and I know there’s sugar in the FW. Are there other differences?

I've mixed my recipe, but since I don't know what the original tastes like, all I'll know is whether I like it or not. I tasted the juice itself and it's rich - really rich. I think the Cream Soda kicks it up a bit, and I like what I'm tasting, but that doesn't mean it will be a great vape. Just have to see.

ETA: Couldn't wait, had to taste it. Leaves vanilla on my lips, a little bit spicy and very slightly chemical. I hope that part will age out. There's a flavor here that I can't quite pin down. Might be the zeppola, which I haven't used before. Has a little bit of a fried-twinkie taste.

ETA2: Bumping the Cookie down to 1%, think I'm happy with the rest of it.

As surprised as I am to say this, I think this mix needs about 2 drops per 10 ml of a nice, rich banana flavor, which I do not have. Don't generally like vaping banana but think it would work well here, used sparingly. Chemical taste is all but gone already.

Might try two drops of coconut instead.

I just ordered yesterday from ecigexpress 30% off “mem30”. @Teresa P told me I can use it whenever a recipe calls for FW Yellow Cake (I have). As far as I know JF Yellow Cake doesn’t gunk up your coils like FW. Perhaps TeresaP can tell us if there’s any other differences.

The lack of sugars in the JF YC is the biggest difference, but I think it tastes more like cake than FW. Just my opinion.

This whole thread from last night into this morning is Gold. Love watching a community come together and work something out, everyone with their own touch and spin to it, collaborative conversation working towards a tasty juice recipe. This is the content that makes communities great, and I just think it's awesome.

Also, really excited that I have, like, 90% of the flavors being thrown around in these, and they sound good. I may well piggyback on this at some point today and whip something up, see what all the hub-bub is about ;)

They're both good in their own way. FW tastes jucier/more moist? I have a hard time explaining differences in flavors most of the time. JF isn't dry. But compared to FW it is, if that makes any sense lol. I haven't tried them in identical recipes to see how they compare tho.
