Which mod??

Still new to this stuff, doing as much research as I can but I keep running into dead ends.. I' looking for a box mod with capability to have higher wattage, good battery life, and good user friensly chipset. I was thinking about the wismec predator but then found its got problems with the 510 falling out and misfires.

What' a good mod to pick up that's not too insanely pricey??

I plan to put the wotofo bravo on it.

Out of all the mods I have, (probably 75+), the Minikin V2 is about the best. I've dropped it numerous times from all different directions and heights. Even fell out of my pocket while on a roof, it landed in the concrete driveway, still ticking like the day I bought it, about two years ago.

@inspects took the words right outta my mouth lol! I have 2 Asmodus Minikin’s v2 & I have to say for a 2 battery mod it’s ergonomics are great, long lasting battery life, the best compared to my other 2 battery mods. Nice chipset that they still support via software updates after owning for a year.

I've seen them on eBay shipped for around $50.00.... It's freaking a solid mod after a week of testing.....

The Smoant Battlestar pictured above would be a recommendation off me too!
For the price you can't go wrong. I've not tried the Cyclon but Smoant do good mods so it's more than likely decent.
The Minikin v2 mentioned is good too but for what it is its overpriced.
Voopoo Drag, Smoant Battlestar and tesla nano steampunk have just as good of built quality and chips and are only $50.00

Welcome @aHussyNamedTron and I hope you enjoy your stay~!

One this to take into consideration when purchasing vape gear is where the information being shared comes from. If it is 1st person hands on then that can be reliable but if it is what someone saw on a video or read on the Internet take it for what it is worth. My RX200S was supposed to be garbage but for the last 3 years or so it has been dropped on the pavement so many times I am actually surprised it still works! Supposed to have a bad 510 huh? Change tanks at least 20 times a day and it is still the same as day 1. I have lots of gear that is said to be crap and it is golden for me.

I've been using the cylon for about a week.

I like how it fits in my hand
the feel of it (leather or w/e it is)
it hits good
buttons are super clicky
menu is easy to navigate.
can do VW curves easy since it has a large screen.
like the centered 510

What don't i like? I personally feel like the battery life is not that good. I vaped on the way to work and took two 10 minute breaks and my batteries are at 60% already. You can probably improve the battery life. For instance, I just cut the screen time out in half, turned down the brightness and took off the speedometer looking thing. I'm hopeful.

another thing i don't like is just preference. I hate mods that increase wattage by decimals. if i wanna go from 75w to 80, I have to click 50 times. If you hold the arrow down, it will go up so fast youll end up at 120 watts.

Just thought i'd add my thoughts since you said you were considering getting one.

+1 for this. Everything is personal preference. I have had a smok r200 for 3 years and people say smok are crap

I always mention it if someone asks me..I actually prefer the Aspire speeder. Fits in hand nice. Batteries discharge to 2.9v. I get a full day of vaping at 80 watts. It's on par with my triple battery mods!

Got it to replace the alien, I had one where the screen died and the second just packed in and wouldn't fire so after that I swapped it for a speeder and decided no more smok mods.
I also wish there was a voopoo drag v2 that takes 25mm attys!

Yeah I love the chip in the voopoo mods. I was excited for the voopoo two but the aethetics don't do anything for me.

It's not ergonomic at all. That's why I didn't get one. I prefer mods that are curvy and fit in the hand.

And that's actually a really underrated mod but then again I'm a Wismec fan & they have served me well!
Well I don't have the RX Gen3, but that's only because I have 2 × RX300. I use ArcticFox in power mode and always use a custom power curve so, because my power curve peaks at 128% and I vape on it at 168 watts, the Weak Battery message appears when the mod can no longer output 168 × 128% = 215 watts, at which point the power curve gets skipped causing the ramp up of my coil build to suddenly jump up ruining all the flavor so, with the way I chain vape, I need to change out my 4 × VTC5A batteries after like only 5 hours tops... if that hadn't been the case I would immediately have bought the RX Gen3 instead.

The funny thing is, this is with a flavor build in my 24mm Goon... no cloud chasing going on or anything. So in the end there really is no standard answer to which mod is best. What I do know is, ArcticFox uses a whole different approach to power curves when compared to all the others so, in terms of user-friendliness and convenience, it can't be beat. AFAIK there simply are no 4-battery mods other than the RX300 that can support power curves excepting only the Vaperz Cloud HoG DNA250, but the latter is limited to 250 watts so not exactly an improvement over the RX300 in that regard, either, and that is despite the huge price gap plus the fact all regulated mods can, and will, still break after all. Finally, once the Samsung INR21700-40T and INR21700-30T will hit the consumer market later this year, that's when a lot of people will start wishing they had spent less money toward a (supposedly) more reliable mod, as it will be outdated much sooner than many think.

I agree and that's why I don't spend a fortune on mods. Lmao 6 hours out of the rx300 is as bad as my use with it.
I put batteries in this morning and was dead by afternoon

Loving my Cylon. Wouldn't buy off ebay personally. You can pick it up for a good price at a vape site. Use vapecrawler.com for price checking. If your not familiar with the sites come back and ask us about them.

I'm really liking this Modefined Sirius 200w 2x18650. http://modefined.com/sirius-2/
Modefined is sister of Lost Vape which is higher quality than average and have made some really popular and well regarded mods.
About this Sirius I started using yesterday. Very happy with it for my at work daily driver right now. Really well made. No plastic except the screen, which is color, a plethora of settings that are easy to navigate including TC / TCR / and even by-pass. Wattage moves in 1 watt incriments, and round robins. As does f /c. Ergonomic and feels good in the hand. Can easily fire with thumb or finger, and it fires fast. Nice clickey buttons, the battery door is well done, not a rattle on it anywhere. Attys fit flush.
I was going through at least 3 batteries a day at work alone in my old single battery. This one, fresh batteries about 10+ hrs ago and still 65% ! So it's looking like it's really easy on the batteries. 25mm like Bravo fits flush on the inside edge of that bevel you can see on the SS top. Could go bigger and still look good w/out going out past the mod, but it will overhand the bevel., if that matters. I'm ocd about it myself :)
It's under $50 US.

I've been enjoying mine as well. Small, lightweight but somehow still feels solid as hell. Can't comment on battery life because I haven't used it exclusively for a whole day.

That Manta looks great on there. Thanks for sharing,,,because my Sirius is blue and so is the Manta and Crius V2 I'm picking up tomorrow.
I need another mod for at home and the likes. Something like a G class with a touch screen, no joystick, and takes 2x7000 batteries. That's not too much to ask, is it?

I don't mean to start an argument so please don't take it that way.

People don't like wismec because of the amount of known failures the company produced and I don't believe they really did anything to fix them either. Now can you purchase one if their mods and have a good one? Yes it is possible you are walking proof of such. Are you willing to chance the 40 or 60 on a mod that has been known for loose 510s, thin wiring or suddenly catches on fire?

If you don't want to argue why quote me and try pushing your opinion because mine will not change?
I do have an opinion but that's not what I'm pushing. If a mod is known to catch on fire and I told you this even though I haven't own one nor seen it happen first hand would you risk burning your junk off? Can you purchase said mod and have it last you 3 years? Yes and more than likely you would because even at 50% failure rate there would be at least 5000 working mods. I don't know how many they produced but I'm sure it's alot.

So the question is would you want to risk losing money on a mod that is known to catch fire? Would you risk your body or house to this mod? I guess we already know since you did buy them and I'm happy it worked out for you but had it not how would you feel?

The only reason I spoke up is because you said you bought the rs200s and it worked out and made a comment about "loose 510 huh?" And while I agree that there can be good products there are also a high percentage of poor ones. Do you want to risk getting a poor one? There are other mods/products that have a lower percentage of failures.

I told you this even though I haven't own one nor seen it happen first hand

Because you read it on the Internet it must be true huh? If you told me that you heard it somewhere and I wanted a particular MOD sure I would but it! The Wismec RX200S in my hand everyday for 3 years proves what is said is not worth me not getting this MOD.
