Ok I am going to stir the pot a little for you guys that Ordered a black NeoFet LOL.

How pissed are you going to be if its not bead blasted like the body? and its all shiny like the Black button will be?

This is based off the pictures posted thus far of the Red/Green/Ultem buttons shown for the NeoFet and previous Black Buttons on the Neo2 and Neo

The one picture that shows the Black NeoFet with the button on it, I can't tell if its polished or Matte nor can I tell if its RED or Black, although I know for sure the white one in this picture is red since he said it was...

No excuse for the in house caps. But I bet those other makers got randomized out and used a clone for the pattern.

Sorry, I'm nursing a grudge here. I'm gonna let it go soon. Sucks though, I ordered a green vikset cap for the cruiser and now the OCD will be kickin' in.
I have a green vikset cap for haku

Yeah... I wasn't worried so didn't ask if the finishes on the face plates and buttons would match the body of the mods. I ordered the FP and Button in white, knowing I'd more than likely only use the button, if ever... but have the FP and Button if I ever decided to sell it.

If anyone knows how to upgrade the firmware and turn off the lights, please let me know. Other than that, it's prob one of my favorite snags for 2017

I wrote down the steps to upgrade the firmware but I am at work and they are at home :) The main thing is you have to download two (2) files from the RSQ website. Then refresh, upload....If you don't have any luck let me know and I'll send you the instructions tomorrow. The upgrade works and the lights, etc. will behave as they should. It was my favorite snag of 2017 for sure.

Paper and cotton filters remove too much of the oil - I much prefer a screen. Nothing to do with the environment, lol

Yes, I am a terrible coffee snob

Just FYI, there are mesh filters available for the Aeropress. I have yet to snag one only bc the wife would kill me.

We have a Keurig Mini, Keurig 2.0 (we hate them both and they’re just sitting), a drip pot, a French press, a moka pot, and a pour over stand that I made.

In all honesty though, the best thing you can do for great coffee is invest in a good burr grinder. Uniform grind size is crucial to optimal oil extraction. Water temp and steeping time are also extremely important, but grind size more so.

Yeah sometimes my dry humor is overlooked ;)

I think a shiny black button will look fine...but I don't think a shiny face plate will...but that is just me.

That is the dry humor part... stirring the pot on those who ordered the black NeoFet.

I didn't bother to ask for clarification on that aspect, I'll be using the white as it comes... Silver FP and Ultem button :D Just got the spares in case I sell it or trade it for a Sunbox Game Over ;)

You might consider posting the instructions for the rest of the bonkers getting that mod!

Never underestimate my ability to stick my nose in the air when it comes to coffee - no I don't roast, but am considering it once I move to the Big Islandcoffee snob.jpg

Got a second Hugo Squeezer in today. Love those damn things but the New Year resolution eliminates duplicates this year. By the times a second of anything arrives I'm already on to the latest and greatest :)

Funny thing... Few months ago at the cousins house, and they are supposed coffee snobs right... they go... "Don you want a coffee?" I responded sure...then I hear the pneumatic of the Keurig start and I said immediately, "You know what I'll take a water" LOL

Then the wife a few months ago for our anniversary asked, "Babe you want one of those Keurigs I always see you taking time in the morning making coffee" I responded, "Did I hear you say you wanted a divorce?" LOL

Those things are such a rip - another example of manufacturers finding a way to make something more expensive and lower the quality

Am proud to have never owned one, lol

We got ours before we knew any better. Once I started roasting those bitches were out of the mix... the big Keurig was a Christmas gift from my mother so we’re having a hard time getting rid of it.

Nice grinder, btw! And just so you know, once you start roasting your own you can consider yourself ruined. I’ve stopped drinking all coffee except for my own if I can at all help it.

When it comes to drip coffee makers, I honestly can't tell the difference if using a decent grind - and I've been through a few in my day

Just buy the cheapest one with the features you want - my main criteria besides size of the decanter is that it must have an auto shutoff for the burner

A long as mine looks like a big bar of ivory soap, I'm good. :D

Actually, I'll probably wind up with a black/white stormtrooper-like look, white body, black plates, white button, black rda cap and black beauty ring.

You can also get the Black Metal Top and bottom!

Edit: saw the plates mentioned, disregard LOL

Yeah I don't know how the cat ended up in my vape cabinet.;)

Actually my daughter just came home from college for a visit and brought her cat. He jumped up on the counter as I was taking the shot and ruined the focus but then I was like hey, cool shot.
Sidenote: my rat terrier loves when he comes to visit, they get rowdy.

Idk why they show that picture in the line up because if you look at the posts it's not the same atty and I don't think it'll take mesh well. I honestly thin k that one pic is from the mesh pro by the looks of the deck.

No clue as Vandy Vape doesn't have that pic on the product page.

what wire do you have besides SS430 and SS316L?
Kanthal and I know there was some Nichrome floating around before someone "helped me" and cleaned my work area. I'm sure I'll find it....eventually but for now I have to keep an eye on the evacuations in my area, no time to look.

The mesh rda I have is really good! (Chuluthu) Just can't get a hot vape from it. It's almost like a self regulating temp control. Idk how to describe it.

Toss that 1 and get the 1 from Vandy Vape or DigiFlavor or better yet both.

If you have SS316L handy use 28 cores and 36 outer wrap 5/6 and it will come close to .36

26x2x36 N80 4/5 wrap would be 4.77mm wide coil - .27 (what I use)
28x2x36 SS316 5/6 wrap would be 4.95mm wide coil - .36 (Closest match in width) which wouldn't matter on a regulated ;)
28x2x36 SS316 6 wrap would be 5.4mm wide coil - .39
26x2x36 SS316 6 wrap would be 6.36mm wide coil -0.256
28x2x36 SS316 4/5 wrap would be 4.05mm wide coil - .29

There's places in Europe that have banned the sales/use/ownership of all Keurig products...Not kidding!
