Neither she's too young for me.Keep in mind I'm older than dirt. Also she didn't seem to have a squonker anyplace. She's surely not hiding it on her person.

I was thinking that too -- that she was surely MUCH too young for those fake titties. She looks about 14, with that soft little belly. Whoever put those fake tits on her needs to have his license revoked.

So why not get a few thousand or so cartomizers and maybe 5 or 6 different colored carto-tanks?
They still make both.

My juice is too gunky; that's why I stopped using my old UDCT and went back to my Kayfuns, after using that UDCT for about 4 months or so. Only a rebuildable can cope with "the strawberry & cream gunk monster." :giggle: I've gotten it down to just under 25% flavoring, so I can just about deal with a tank again, instead of always needing to use an RDA, but it's still a gunk monster. It's gotta be that shisha strawberry, since it's organic-derived.

Mmmmmm details in said coffee business? I’m a coffee “snob” and am always looking for a good bean!

I’m not a chef anymore, left it and in the IT world now. Tired of the long hours and never enough pay.

You can find my business page on Facebook. Grind Time Craft Roasting is the name. I buy 25 lbs of a single origin and take custom orders until it's gone. Then onto the next one!

I don't see how getting a clone to tide you over until the designer can get enough made for you to buy one is not supporting them? I've never been in any of these groups because I hate Facebook, so maybe I just don't understand how they work.

It comes across as elitism though, like saying if someone stooped so low as to sully themselves they shouldn't have the honor of supporting the original. Telling them to leave the group, isn't that telling people NOT to support the original?

Am I missing something here??
Yeah unfortunately I think a lot of people in Vaping are "missing something" to be honest. This is my opinion so I won't fight with anyone about my opinion but buying a clone is basicly spitting in the face of the original developer. How can you support someone and spit in their face at the same time?
This is directed at the whole conversation not just you. Also don't get me wrong I don't think less of anyone for buying a clone. Everyone gets to make their own choices. But I agree with minimal saint on this one 100% and I have no friends or anything to stick up for at haku or anywhere else.
Again this is my opinion and I don't plan to entertain any arguments.

Not really starting any arguments but honestly if it wasn't for clones I'd still be smoking cigarettes. Killing myself and my 5 children. Not everyone can afford a copper tube with some threads for $145. Or whatever the cost may be. It's literally a piece of metal you put a battery in. If china can make them so cheap so can everyone else. I know clones are sub par compared to authentic but really. I don't consider it spitting in their face. I feel if they were as concerned with helping people quit smoking as much as the mighty dollar life would be better. I see all these new mods being bought and almost I repeat almost feel envious. I wish I could afford to support the originator of the mods but unfortunately food and power come first. But I'm happy vaping and my family appreciates not getting cancer earlier than me.

Never said any of the things your defending to be honest.
I want to write more but can't defend something that's based on something I really didn't say no matter what my beliefs are. I want everyone to vape over smoking so please don't act like I said any different.

I'm sad :(

Never saw this thread go so low or get so weird

Squonk well everyone - no matter what you are squonking with :cloud:

Me too, JL - well said... Very sad. I hate to see a valuable member and a good guy get run off by a few people because of something like this. Certainly there were folks who didn't agree with what he said, but he was at least polite and considerate about it, and took the time to explain that 1. it was *his opinion*, and 2. his reasoning behind it, including admission that it's personal for him since he's friends with the creator (and though he'd probably argue the point, he's a creator himself, so factor that in as well). Some of the replies were decidedly NOT polite or considerate.

He made it clear that he isn't judging people on whether or not they use clones, just that in this case it's *his opinion* that folks that want to go the clone route should open a space in the group for someone that prefers to try for the authentic. Those of you throwing stones, calling names, and telling him he's "the problem with vaping", do you not have an opinion yourself that you are trying to get across? What's the difference? Are you not on a soapbox of your own when you fire back like that?

So the result is what? You run him off? It's so easy to discount how long he's been here helping everyone with so many things, for providing humor and information, being a friend to many here. Why do we attack someone with a differing opinion without even considering them as a person? Maybe part of the problem is that there are a lot of new people here who don't know him or have that perspective of him, I don't know. Or maybe it's just too easy to flash red and fire the big guns at anyone who we disagree with, no matter who they are. It's probably not how you'd want to be treated for voicing your own opinion.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm not a fb user and will never be, so I'm not part of the group in question. I have no plans to buy the clone because I'm happy with my gear right now and have too much at the moment. And I honestly don't care one way or another if anyone else buys the clone, the authentic, or both. But I will also admit that I might not feel that way if I was friends with the creator too, there's just too much I don't know. It probably would depend on a lot of things, including knowledge that may not be public about the situation. I do know for a fact though that minimalsaint is a valuable member here and if this causes his departure, VU and especially this thread will be significantly worse because of it. I truly hope it hasn't come to that.

Either way, the point is, we all have opinions on many things. Often, our opinions differ from each other, and that's not a bad thing. It's good. Differing opinions are healthy. That's what helps us open our eyes and be better people. This isn't about vape gear, this is about attacking a person because of their opinion. That's not the way things should be. That causes strife and drama, and the world has plenty of that right now without us adding to it.

If you've read this far, thanks. It's my own opinion and yes, I'm on a soapbox - at least I admit it. I'm fully aware that I haven't been here all that long in the grand scheme of things, so many (most?) of you either don't know me or don't care at all about me or anything I have to say. I'm also fully aware that I may catch some flak for stating my opinion, but it is what it is, so be it.

There are a lot of amazing, awesome people here and I'd love to keep it that way, even if they have differing opinions to mine. One of my favorite things about this thread has always been that the people see each other as people, so when differing opinions are presented they are usually met with thoughtful discussion tempered with humor and kindness. This time, not so much. I hope it gets back to that, and fast.

Edited to add - I did see several users on here responding with civility - asking clarification in some cases, thoughtfully and politely responding in other cases. You guys aren't who I'm talking about here. If that was your response, carry on and keep up the good work - you are doing it right.

I'm not new to vaping, but only started with squonking recently and I just don't understand the Facebook group thing?

I did use facebook years ago so i'm aware how it works, but if you have made a product to sell to people why not just create a website, list your goods and sell them until they are out of stock, make more...rinse repeat. Why make it complicated with lists and people vouching for people etc.

I can't see how this prevents flipping as a flipper will simply join a list like anyone else, it won't prevent cloners as again they will simply pose as a regular buyer or even more likely buy one at huge cost from one of these 'vetted' buyers.

To me it seems like the whole facebook method creates silly drama, false hype and most importantly outcasts a whole demographic who do not wish to associate with social media.

So why is it companies like Vaponaute, Psyclone, Alliancetech can sell their goods in traditional way with good old fashioned web sites yet these other companies choose to go down the convoluted Facebook route....?

Speaking of the Haku, the two lists are open for members!! Get in there folks! Or don't... because is increases my chances of winning one!

I so want to toss my name in...but the pennies I had set aside for the Haku was accidentally used on the Flave yesterday lol

I am figuring there will be about 1500-2000 people trying for the Haku's today... what would those odds be when randomized 3 times? Yeah I wont do any probability statistics this early lol but it will be fractionally higher since I am not tossing my name in ;)

Good luck to you, I do hope you win one of them...remember you can fill out the doc for both.

You're correct. You didn't say any of the things I said exactly. And I didn't mean to make it seem like an attack. It wasn't really just your comment. But the whole conversation. I'm not here to argue either. I don't have anyone where I live that I can talk to about vaping so I'm on here religiously.i guess it can get hectic sometimes. Sorry everyone for that post. Now I feel like I've helped bring the morale down a notch.

but if you have made a product to sell to people why not just create a website, list your goods and sell them until they are out of stock, make more...rinse repeat. Why make it complicated with lists and people vouching for people etc.

Some want to get their product into the hands of vapers at a set cost...for instance with Haku...their lists are only for 1st time owners...as for putting the product on a website...a flipper can just buy up lets say 200 Units of only 300 total available then resell them at a higher rate...just the same as some do for sporting events and concert tickets...and this is their way to sort of curb that....additionally websites cost money, whereas FB is free ;)

I can't see how this prevents flipping as a flipper will simply join a list like anyone else, it won't prevent cloners as again they will simply pose as a regular buyer or even more likely buy one at huge cost from one of these 'vetted' buyers.

Cloning is inevitable, if the product is popular it will be cloned...vaping industry, sneakers, etc. To me you're right, but with Haku again as example, 1st time buyers lists only...sure someone could create a crap ton of accounts and join the group be really difficult to police, but again, the way they are doing it, sure is better than mass dropping it on a website to where a single account can grab a bunch.

To me it seems like the whole facebook method creates silly drama, false hype and most importantly outcasts a whole demographic who do not wish to associate with social media.

I agree with you on FB causing silly drama, hype, but I don't believe it outcasts anyone, you either Fb or you don't, the reasons why you do or don't, well don't matter, its a medium to procure an item similar to a website, again many small companies prefer using FB as their way of doing business, free is better than a paid server hosting and maintenance.

So why is it companies like Vaponaute, Psyclone, Alliancetech can sell their goods in traditional way with good old fashioned web sites yet these other companies choose to go down the convoluted Facebook route....?

Cause they chose to for their own reasons. I know Psyclone and Alliancetech both use FB as a platform to get people interested in their product...its also a free advertisement platform (FB) if your facebook is set up loosely you will see all your friends likes,or where they have left a comment, lets say your friends also vape...now you see the item they liked, that's free advertisement.

I'll try to answer your above questions...although I could be wrong on many of my replies, its just my thoughts...

Thanks for taking the time to reply, so its basically to ensure products are not flipped.

Personally I feel like the Psyclone mods/528 Customs model is the best way of doing things from a consumer perspective, design the RDA in home country and then outsource the production to China.

Although the end product maybe of slightly lesser quality, it eliminates most of the availability issues and gets the product into customers hands at a much more reasonable cost.

Maybe even utilise both methods similar to Dr Martens shoes/boots... offer both a handmade local product of the finest quality sold at a premium as well as a mass produced outsourced version at a much lower cost, thus taking the profits away from clone companies.

Bingo!

While I wish I had good hobbyist friends IRL, but I don't

And I certainly don't need non-vaping busybodies I do know sticking their nose in my squonk-business

While I do have FB, it is only because I have a business and I didn't even create the page myself, lol

And I still get occasional weird shit on it against vaping

I use FB only as a place to post excellent vaping articles (same for Twitter and G+). Not much going on in any of those places that I care all that much about. I did the twitter thing for a while when I first got a mobile phone -- twitter's more phun on a fone than on a PC -- but there are just so many ANTZ idiots, it got very tiresome swatting them all the time. Also, FB is an excellent way to keep abreast of news from my oldest friends, who live nearly 100 miles south of me; I don't do "social phoning", I hate phones and phone calls, but a "hey how ya doing" from time to time on FB doesn't distress me. :D

I'm personally in favor of clones, given my budget, but I certainly understand, and even somewhat agree with, those who find them anathema. And having bought just a ciouple of authentic atomizers, I can't really see a huge difference in quality between them and clones -- my Achilles II is far inferior to my cloned original Achilles RDAs; my authentic KFL+ does have smoother threading than my cloned KFL+'s, but there really isn't a lick of difference between the authentic and the Tobecos in terms of the actual vape. And the only reason I could afford the authentic KFL+ was thx to someone selling it in the forum -- it was still a lot pricier than all my others except the authentic Achilles II, but at least it was within my range, buying it used.

I personally found the Maze to be a ridiculous RDA - and haven't really heard of anyone actually liking it (pardon me to anyone who does)
Most end up with one because it comes with the Inbox, lol

That's why I was happy when they made the black carbon a mod only rather than the kit. I don't need another atty, that'll probably never get used.

I've heard nothing but love for the V3. Kinda sad, because not many people give it a shot. I'm blaming the Kanger, eleaf, CoV and other kits teaching people to waste bin any rda in an inexpensive kit. And the name has contaminated the rest of the line.

This is the maze v3 we're talking about here... Nothing like the one included with inbox. https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...entic-hcigar-maze-v3-rda-rebuildable-dripping

Yeah, the one in the photo isn't mine, but I do have one. I didn't like it at all. I tried several builds on it, but admittedly gave up pretty quickly - I have so many other toppers that I love, I just didn't want to waste any more time beating it into submission. It didn't squonk very well for me, the flavor was lacking, and the airflow never felt right. So into the drawer it went.

Welp folks, I usually dry burn and rewick my coils on Saturday night - and I'm still gonna try.

However, all I can think about is the Entheons and Flave 22 enroute to me early next week and it makes me not want to mess with what I already have - even if it is mostly top of the line
