What I find funny is that we pay for the uninsured already. Hospitals have to provide care in the case of life or death regardless of insurance. This adds to all of our insurance costs.

It also costs more to treat at that stage. Preventive care is much cheaper than emergency care. Why do you think employees push wellness? The less claims they make against the company insurance policy the lower the premiums. Preventive care reduces claims.
And we spend MUCH more on a per capita basis than other 1st world countries.

Ahh the greatest country on earth?

Well why would Trump need to make it great again?
By saying that Trump is saying that our country is not great.
What an unpatriotic attitude.

Ha ha I guess the same reason Obama felt he needed to fun-dementedly change America . What I said has nothing to do with trump it has always been the greatest . Your just obsessed with trump .

I understand what you are saying. What I am saying is we don't get to be judge and jury on who lives or who dies. There is no perfect system of any kind. You have to take the good with the bad.

The best we can do is to have a system that helps those who need it and those who aren't always perfect citizens. We give criminals Healthcare in jail. We should do our best to provide the best we can and provide better checks and balances to mitigate abuse. What he have now has many flaws, we need to fix the flaws and improve the system. Anything else is just going to further benefit the insurance and drug companies.

I did not say anything close to what you heard about being Christian. I only stated that if you are Christian you should want to help as many possible.

Doing nothing at all is the worst choice we can make. That is all I am saying. I could go on about ideas I have for dealing with abusers but that is too much to type in a single post.

I agree with you I think it is a noble thing but there are too many abusers and government is incapable of flushing them out . What we end up with is unaffordable for all just like Obamacare single payer even worse . They have completely fucked things up I'm taxed out my ass as it is I can't pay anymore or I'll be on the cart not helping pull it .

I agree, but we have to stop living like everything is disposable. Trump and all politicians have no interest in saving us money. They simply want their own benefit and their own legacy. We need to start fixing things instead of replacing them with more garbage.

I don't know if we will ever get it right . There is too much money at stake for too many people . People being sick is a business. I'm sure they have found the cure for cancer 20 years ago but it's a better money maker keeping people sick . We need everyone working that's the only way we can do it back when we made cars here and had manufacturing health insurance wasn't on anyone's mind employers gave it as a plus for you to come work for them . There was enough to go around . But since we sold out our manufacturing there is not enough to go around that's the problem.

You know what else we need? We need people to stop blindly following a party. The fact we do this makes us predictable and easy to manipulate.

I think k the problem with that is there are very few if any moderates in either party . The Dems have gone all out left and the republicans are just spineless air bags . The
choices we are presented with are just pathetic. But who really wants to put their life under a microscope by the media . You need to be a special breed of person to be willing to do it . and that doesn't mean your a good breed of person .

We have to start somewhere if we ever want anything to change. Independents need to step up their game.

Totally agree we need true leaders again more then ever ! Or just somebody who has no hidden agenda . But I don't see any on the horizon. I was hoping Trump would inspire someone that change can be made .but the beating from the media on him I'm sure has discouraged anyone thinking about it

Glad we have that choice to believe or not to believe any religion or deity.
We have a choice to believe or not believe in anything.
A particular political party for instance. It is pretty much a faith based thing now.

there are certain things we must do or not do to co-exist in our society.
But those do not require beliefs as such.

I believe we would be better off without fast food drive thru's.
So I do not use them.
You can if you want though.

That is why us humans have free will. To choose whom to follow or not follow, to believe or not to believe in anything or everything.

I am Christian. But I don't believe in organized religion. Organized religion, large corporations, the mafia and government all use the same basic principle to manipulate people.

It's called the FUD factor. It's the use of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt to control the masses. It's how they convince you they are doing what's best for you.

I would say what I want no matter what one may think, if I believe in a deity /religion or not. If they can't deal with it, that is their problem not mine.
Ahh and then you lose out on customers, job opportunities, etc.
Around here non Christians are the persecuted ones.
rural areas are not like urban areas where one has some invisibility in the crowd.
Still no Sunday alcohol sales statewide and many county's are completely dry.

Fake news.
He's not going to die, he'll be frozen with the duke.
When everyone is done fighting to see who can fuck up this country the most; they'll be freed from their carbonite nap. Then they will go and beat the fuck out of whoever is left and fix this shit.

In just a few weeks, I've become fully convinced that The Cromwell is the inspiration for the character 'Guilfoyle' on the HBO series "Silicon Valley". When I apply Guilfoyle's tone, speech pattern, etc. to The Cromwell's syntax, it all makes sense.

(j/k TC.....I dig your schpiel)

You may of been out that day
If one accepts the notion that it's OK to socialize primary and secondary education because most of us (not all of us!) have agreed that this is what we should do, then one has no rationale against socializing medicine, provided most of us (not all of us!) agree that this is what we should do.

So you think the government should provide healthcare for everyone? How does the government fund such a thing ?

Same way the govt funds EVERYTHING. Out of the peoples pockets.

If we had single payor insurance, costs would be greatly reduced.
Of course the insurance companies will spend their last dimes ensuring that does not happen. Just like they did with Obamacare.

Medicare for the masses.

Medicare is single payor.
Medicare for everyone.
You already pay some into it if you are working, just pay a bit more and have insurance.

I remember how the Republicans whined about the behind closed door Obamacare sessions. Now they are doing as bad or worse on their lack of transparency. Neither group is to be trusted.

If it was just a bit no problem, but that's never the case . The answer is more jobs for people . People working paying their own way . The government can't run anything why would you want them to run your healthcare .

More jobs that PAY ENOUGH for people to afford their own private insurance.
Creating more retail jobs and such is not much.

Manufacturing jobs around here pay ~$10 starting and $15-18 if you can make it 5 years or so.
Competing with China, Mexico, India, etc.

The areas with cheap labor will get the manufacturing jobs. works the same within the USA as with the rest of the world. Rust belt will remain rusty.
