it flashes 5 times when I pressed the fire button, then nothing else. Probably it is a doa mod like you said.Did you try clicking the power switch 5 times? Did any lights appear to flash? There's a light bar above the fire button that should blink a few times when powering on. If not and if you've double checked the batteries and battery orientation (pos and neg facing the right way) then it may just be a doa mod. If it's dead out of the package the only real solution is to return it for a new one.

I tried obs engine .267 ohm, limitless rdta gold .168, royal hunter rda .340 builds have been a mix of Clapton coils some alien coils n some twisted kanthal all builds are tested using an ohm meter that I have from coil master and double checked on my smok alien mod.Hard to say since that mod has no screen. As TrackDay said the flashing light is supposed to be a power on indicator. What rda/rta are you using with it? Have you tested a build either on an ohm meter/test deck or on another mod to confirm resistance is above .1ohm? That's the lower limit for the mod. Depending how low of a build you have on it the dial may have to be turned up. 3.6v may not be quite enough (lowest setting, 1 on the dial), it's a variable voltage device (rather than variable wattage). It goes up to 6.6v at the highest number on the dial.
If you have another atomizer try checking a different one on it. I'm not overly familiar with the tesla mod, maybe the particular atty/rda you're using doesn't have enough of a protruding 510 pin to make contact. It's still a regulated mod with protections but it's fashioned more like a mech mod with no display so hard to tell if connection is there or not. No screen/display to say 'check atomizer' or 'no coil' to verify if contact is there.
The blue light flashes when you click the power button 5x to turn it on right? What about when you have the atomizer installed with a coil, ready to vape. Does the blue light come on when you press the button? Does it turn on and stay lit as a solid light when the power button is pressed? If so then it should be working. Otherwise if your atty is screwed onto the 510 and you're ready to go, you hit the power button and the light flashes again it could be that the mod is reading low battery, puff timer cutoff or there's a short.
I read the manual first, but still didn't work.It just sounds like he didn't read the manual.
Thanks for your hep. yes, i triedHave you tied increasing the voltage?
thanks for your help.If the mod appears to turn on but the coils don't heat up on any of those atty's then it might be a doa mod. All I can figure. There's a chance that the coil wasn't properly tightened down or a 510 pin wasn't a good match for the 510 on the mod but chances of all those not working while working on other mods is too coincidental. Especially if the vv dial is turned up on the side of the tesla. In any case, this much fiddling on a new mod to get it to work without any glaring mistakes or anything sounds like it's a bad unit. Just my .02.
