Must be doing something a bit different here then. :) Got my dogs so they look and see me making an L with my thumb and index finger, they stop fooling with whatever it is because they know, I say "leave be" only once. After that I get a staff or stick of similar proportions and give them non-abusive yet stern taps with the end of it.

It's their breeding too, they see a staff they think 'Shepard', "uh, oh the 'boss' is around." I use the taps as a means of 'getting attention' only. They don't like it if I walk away, which can happen if they keep acting incorrectly. I walk away to not let frustration take hold.

Have learned a rather important lesson from Shylock, the skittish male. He needed me to be calm, to give love, as in someone to sit by when he gets scared. Once I got cued into that me and him have found this odd thing, trust. :) I can have no favorites but Shylock is now my buddy. Even got himself a new nickname.

Rascal is hard headed but he knows if I say "Get your puppy ass over here" in a stern voice he better obey. Very seldom has he ever been spanked. To him it is a game. The older cats no longer run and he gets a look on his face like "come on guys, this is no fun" when he tries to chase them but the younger cats all play the keep away game and he has a great time. I just get tired of it at times. He has yet to ever hurt one and usually rolls them in a mad gallop when he catches one of them.

Its cool you and Shylock bonded so well. Once a buddy, always a buddy.

Pisses me off i thought private areas were privat type e, So if they have accounts here and reading this GO FUCK YOUR SELF!
I despise that forum, those mods think they're gods gift to un-free speech.

And the moderated words...like ultra vulgar "piss, shit, pussy, dick, crap, douche bag, hell-hole, etc, etc. Fucking place is a poor excuse for any type of forum. Now the owner is spending more time trying to peddle his wares then spend time talking about vaping advocacy.

The TFA Cherry Extract is a great cherry flavor -- not too sweet, not too tart, neither maraschino nor medicinal; might be a good one to use.

I had a little bit of 12mg nic mixed 30/70 VG I wanted to get rid of, it was more than a year old, been in the refrigerator, not frozen.

Last night I tooks a bunch of random flavors, coconut, coconut sweet, whip cream, papaya, BVC, vanilla, caramel and passion fruit.

In different bottles, I made combinations of those flavors, just tried them a few minutes ago...JC, the juice is delicious...!

I have the cherry extract tfa also Black cherry tfa. Im concerned about the percentages.

The only thing cherry I've done is the cherry-vanilla pipe tobacco; I used the TFA cherry extract at 4%, but I didnt want the cherry flavor to predominate, but just to blend with the sweet tobaccos and vanilla. Maybe 6%? Or start at 5% and see where that gets you.

Yeah, I remember, they did taste good, but they were too damn sweet for me.

When I was a kid, I really didn't think "too sweet" was possible -- I put sugar in Cap'n Crunch cereal, and in orange juice. :giggle: That's how I learned about not eating a buttload of sugar at breakfast without some protein to bind it. ;)

Oh I hear that, Andria. Now I have 1/3rd of a pancreas, which doesn't produce much insulin, so the sweet tooth days are gone, but I like a semi-sweet vape at times.

I wasn't allowed sugar sweetened anything when I was a child. No sugar sweetened cereals, no brown sugar etc on oatmeal and God help you if you reached for the sugar bowl to sprinkle some on your corn flakes, Rice Krispies or Cheerios. The bowlful of cereal was taken away and dumped in the trash and you ate nothing for breakfast.

Cherry is a very hard flavor to work with but well worth the end results. If you go too high it has that medicinal dime store candy flavor that sucks. Too low and you cant taste it. I usually use it at %1.5 with no problems and good flavor.

I try to moderate sugar consumption myself nowadays, after seeing what it did to my mother... and quite a few of her siblings. I still like sugar so much, I never want to do completely without it, so I've gradually lowered it over the years; now when I go out to eat, I have to order half sweet tea (it's a southern thing) and half unsweetened, or it's like "tea syrup" to me, bleah.

I rarely ever drink soda anymore; maybe 1 a month-ish -- I used to suck down about a gallon of pepsi a day (in case anyone was wondering why I always smile with my mouth closed!). I rarely drink coffee anymore, but if I do, it's decaf, with 1 tsp of sugar and a lot of milk, and maybe just a touch of vanilla. I love pastry of all kinds: donuts, muffins, cookies.. I keep a few fudgy mint cookies around (made with real peppermint oil so they're a tasty way to fight indigestion or upper gas!), and those ice cream bars with the chocolate shell and vanilla ice cream inside, but I try to avoid the pastries, not so much for the sugar, though that's part of it, but just for the fat content and fat causing. :D Blueberry muffins are the most addictive drug I've ever enjoyed, and I have to treat them much as i treat beer or cigarettes -- not even 1, or off I go. :D

Yikes, sounds more like Oliver Twist than modern times! They tried to restrain me -- my grandmother switched from cubes to granulated when she caught me eating the sugar cubes right outta the bowl -- but it didn't do any good. I had to grow up, learn a bit about nutrition and physiology before I was motivated to restrain *myself* -- just like with smoking and drinking, no amount of preaching had ANY effect, i was much too hard-headed for my own good!

I used to love that shit, now I'm strictly organic. About twice a week I'll BBQ a small free range beef ribeye.

My mother just didn't believe in feeding sugar to kids. I tried the sugar sweetened cereals as adult and find I didn't miss much. Nowadays though, my oatmeal HAS to have brown sugar on it!

My husband wants it with brown sugar and crumbled bacon in it, which seems totally weird to me. But I'm a weirdo, I still prefer white sugar in oatmeal, with a LOT of milk, too -- he likes his as thick as oatmeal cookie batter! That's what we're having in the morning, in fact; I try to give him oatmeal once every weekend, so that his low cholesterol numbers stay that way; he already has hypertension, so we don't want any arterial plaque narrowing those vessels any further. He endures it, because he really likes that brown sugar and bacon combo. :D But he REALLY!!! loves it when I make that salmon with lemon-garlic-butter sauce dinner. :D

Oh goodness sakes, it's just horrible. :giggle: That poor guy, telling all about how he's so wrongly put to bed. :giggle:

Fortunately ours are not that vocal yet. The mother, Luna, of our three lives up with my wife's mom & dad. She will at times slap her jaws together and you could almost suspect she's back talking but she never is vocal. I saw her do it once when I told her go back to maw maw's, "you sassing me girl?" She got a look on her face just like a child caught at it, turned and stomped off back to her home.

They will howl though, at sirens in town, about 4-6 miles / 6.44 - 9.66 kilometers away depending on how you go. The sound carries via the Doppler effect & is intensified what with us being in bottom land twixt two ranges. When they howl late at night I have to admit it can be rather eerie & creepy if you're not aware they're out there. They have enough hound in them that calls back to wolf, you can imagine the deep and rugged howls.

Btw- Thanks Andria for reminding me that I need more oatmeal! :)

It really works! I had some blood work some years back, which showed that my LDL and triglycerides were higher than they oughta be; I asked my doctor if it was something to worry about, he said no, since I don't have hypertension, diabetes, or obesity to deal with.. "Just eat some cheerios, and oatmeal, that should take care of it." It did, so I try to eat oatmeal at least weekly too, and in the summer when I don't mind cold cereal, sometimes I'll have Cheerios instead of blueberry frosted mini wheats. :D
