No Taste from all different kinds of juices

So long story short, I chewed for 4 years and smoked cigs for last 10 off and on. I quit 16 days ago. I have bought over 10 different kinds of juices and I can maybe somewhat taste a few of them and the others I can't taste anything. I have had numerous people vape my Segelei 213/TFV8 set up. They say it tastes great.

Is it Vapers tounge? I haven't smoked the same juice for more then a day. I have tried at least 10 different juices, mostly deserts and fruits. I can somewhat taste 2 or 3 but not very strong.

Do I need to Steep my store bought juices? I shake the bottle before I refill my tank. I normally don't change a coil when I change flavours. Ive tried too.

Or Am I just playing the waiting game and waiting for my taste buds to return?

Time works best for me, yep. Any of those you weren't so crazy about, vape those up. Lots of people have all kinds of remedies for curing Vaper's Tongue from drinking pickle juice while whistling the alphabet song backwards to oil pulling. Actually, oil pulling isn't too bad, makes your mouth happy.

Drink lots of water every day, brush your tongue, too, not just your teeth. Just sounds like your taste buds are a bit shocked right now. They'll come back.

Right before you start vaping in the day, use some listerine or the store brand one, then brush your teeth really well. After that you should be able to taste your vae really well. Even drink some coffee with your vape. Thats what I do everyday and I can taste the e juice really well. Also, I started using Vape Wilds juice or Vista Vapors, I vape allot so I need to vape cheaper inexpensive juice. They have a feature that you can add extra flavor and It's affordable. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried every trick to get rid of vapers tounge but with no success.
Hopefully time just passes and it goes away

That's weird you should be getting plenty of flavor from that setup, are you following the wattage guidelines for the coils? Start at the lower number and increase by 5 watts, take a vape see if flavor is any better and keep going up till you find a wattage that works good for that juice...

If that doesn't work you may have to wait a while, took me almost a month before my taste buds returned, at the start I was using a non sub-ohm device with High PG which carries flavor better than High VG juices, i'd just vape on until your buds renew if I were you since I wouldn't use high PG in that setup...

WHen I started vaping I had that same issue. For months and months! But now I vape all different flavors a day. If I vae the same flavor for a day I might get vapor tongue. It does go away. And also try stronger flavored juice. The Shisha line is strong! they call It Smart E juice on the bottle

You'll know when your taste buds come back, suddenly food that for the longest time has tasted "okay" will taste fan-fuckin-tastic. You'll get your sense of smell back around the same time (sense of smell is tied directly to your sense of taste) and suddenly nearly everybody stinks because you can smell them from yards away if the breeze is blowing your direction. The smell of someone with BO will just about knock you over.

Until your sense of smell and taste come back, you may need stronger flavors.

Yeah anything with Banana I seem to taste but other then that not much. Anyone have an idea on a timeline for taste to come back? I know everyone different. Thanks guys for the replies

Usually when a tank is flavorless, I find that the wattage setting on my mod is either WAY too low, way too high or the airflow is set way too loose.


Try playing with the wattage/temp setting and tighten the draw alittle...See if that helps a bit.

Have played with it for 2 weeks now. I just think its my taste buds. Something is going on. I don't take any medication or anything.

Picked up some menthol today and smoked it for 4 hours. Switched back and I had taste but did fade rather quick. So I will have my Mini Volt full of menthol for a couple hits throughout the day when flavour fades

Maybe it's just you and your taste buds are just not built for vaping.

If I were in your situation I'd switch to vaping unflavored while sucking hard candy, or just keep using menthol.
