Hi DW,SS430 works well in power mode to if one wishes to do so. I twist two strands of 28 gauge SS430 tightly with a drill. I don't heat it prior to twisting like I do if just winding a single strand coil. I torch it before removing it from the drill keeping tension on it.
I think you are correct(as always). I played with the different awg and it stayed the same
Very excited to try this wire on the dna board! It's the real deal as far a TC wire i have tried to date!
Yep, that's the great thing about TCR, its values are not based on length/gauge!
Hi DW,
That's exactly how I do it too.
Cheers,
Steve
My Ex would argue that point vociferously lmaoI think you are correct(as always). I played with the different awg and it stayed the same

I absolutely agree. Forget that noise, marginally better vape with claptons factoring the effort. The prepurchased ones I have are just meh.Twisting two strands is simple enough, it's those Claptons and fused Claptons that take some real extra effort to make. I gave up making them as they are physically a bit large for my applications and the twisted wire does a good enough job. Try twisting 2 strands together, twist them clockwise, make two pieces of that then twist them together counterclockwise.
Happy to see you here DW. Wasn't it you that came up with that on Evolv's forum? By the way guys, DW really knows his stuff!!!Twisting two strands is simple enough, it's those Claptons and fused Claptons that take some real extra effort to make. It got the idea from VapingBad, he used a different material though..Happy to see you here DW. Wasn't it you that came up with that on Evolv's forum? By the way guys, DW really knows his stuff!!!

Not a prob at all. Ultimately we're really talking DNA...so you're still welcome my friend. Any friend of Steve....well ya know the rest!Only problem is...well I don't have one.....but certainly not a stranger to them either.
What's it about this box that does it for ya? Portability? How's your batt life with just one batt. I kinda feel of I considered this one...the VT75 might be a "wiser" choice considering its 26650 capabilities. I have no experience with either thoughA SMY SDNA75 has displaced all my 200's so.....
Awe man. Looking at the SMY reminded me that I had planned to get the VT75 when I got the 133... went to ecig added it to cart and 26650 batt only $92 shipped.......oh so close to pulling the trigger. What's it about this box that does it for ya? Ti is from my experience a bit finicky. I posted yesterday vaguely about this. Here's what I might try;I have a parallel 26g Ti (Unk) 3mm coil (0.16 ohms) in the Merlin to test out he VT133 in Ti mode.
With a setting of 480F/45W it hits the limiter quite quickly, the vapor production is good but it could be a little warmer for me. Is this the norm with Ti on the VT133? It's hitting the limiter with Ti more often than with SS316L.
There is a juice in it at the moment that the wife can't stand the smell of,so I can't post a display screen right now.
I still have a couple of roils of TI01 around that I haven't used since getting my SS430. When I used it I didn't have any issue with TC on my other DNA200 mods.I have a parallel 26g Ti (Unk) 3mm coil (0.16 ohms) in the Merlin to test out he VT133 in Ti mode.

Where did you order it from if you don't mind me asking?Just ordered my first DNA200.... an Hcigar VT133.
Thanks for all the info

Steve knows what he's talking about. Spaced and grade 1 added to the things to try...along with pre-heat settingsI still have a couple of roils of TI01 around that I haven't used since getting my SS430. When I used it I didn't have any issue with TC on my other DNA200 mods.
I started with Ni200 (I liked the taste but it was too malleable and I didn't like the fact you couldn't dry burn it, at least 3 rolls of that left as well), graduated onto Ti01 (to me it had an off taste, little metalic iirc compared to Ni200, was also not going to dry burn that), then UD SS316L (I never cared for my TC graphs with 316, still at least 3 rolls of that in the desk), then finally SS430 (I have no issues with that).
A couple of things on Ti01. Is it grade 1? If not the TCR will definitely be off. I've always had better luck using spaced coils in TC. Are yours spaced?
Cheers,
Steve
PS I have enough wire around here to open an Electrical Supply Store
Has anyone been able to get in touch with ecig for a certain answer as to whether they'll be restocking?
Edit: Was told by chat service that it would be restocked but not at the same price and no known ETA
Reading between the lines of my conversations with them, this is the way I see it. They want/plan on restocking them but (there is always a but) they don't have any on the way. I'm guessing they are looking for a good deal or it might not happen.Since there have been different responses, who gave this answer and did they give any idea of a time frame or price point? The 4th of July sales should be coming up soon and i will be looking for another 133, if not just another dna in general.
What happened to the Black VT133?Reading between the lines of my conversations with them, this is the way I see it. They want/plan on restocking them but (there is always a but) they don't have any on the way. I'm guessing they are looking for a good deal or it might not happen.
With all that being said, I just ordered a Black one from GB that's on a flash sale for $90.75. With discount points I had it ended up being a touch under $85 shipped. I can live with that. Like they say: "A bird (or VT133) in the hand is worth two in the bush"
PS I had a problem with my Black VT133 (long story) that I returned to Ecig for a replacement. They still had stock at the time but ran out before they received it. They said they couldn't give me an ETA so because of the circumstances they refunded me.
Cheers,
Steve
Damn. That really sucks! VapeNW will take care of you. Ask them for a 20,00 credit also for the trouble!
Well here comes the long story lol. It was working fine until I went on to the device monitor in Escribe to grab some TC graph screen shots. I hit the fire button and got check batteries. Unhooked it from Escribe and it worked fine. Change batteries and the same thing happens when hooked back up to the device monitor. Then out of the corner of my eye I see it's saying it's pulling over 3 amps from mt USB jack. Well that wasn't happening because my PC's USB jack is only 500ma (1/2 amp) and the board only supports 1 amp charging. If it was really drawing 3 amps I would have seen the magic smoke from probably both my mod and PC. There was obviously a problem with the board but if I didn't try to grab some TC graphs I wouldn't have known. It was usable but the device monitor was useless. It's something I've never seen before and when I talked to Evolv they had never seen it either. What happened to the Black VT133?
skreiss, I believe I talked to Daniel.
I'm in no hurry since I still have two VT133's and a bunch of other DNA200 mods. I figured it was the worth the $15 savings over VapeNW since I'm not in a big hurry.Hope you have some patience Steve This is my update below. Said it was in stock the day i ordered it lol.

My attys sit flush. I mainly use Aromamizer Supremes but have also had a Billow V2, Billow V3 Plus, and Griffin 25mm on them. Now if I hold it up to the light I can see a sheet of paper thickness gap between the mod and attys because I believe the 510 plate is ever so slightly raised. No big gap or anything though. I have to hold it to the light and really look.Is my 133's 510 off or are they all "short throw"?
My attys don't sit flush.
I gave up asking about the 133 at ecig...regardless of who you ask, they provide a different answer, daily.......Has anyone been able to get in touch with ecig for a certain answer as to whether they'll be restocking?

I love the Supreme, it's by far and away my favorite RTA. I get the best flavor from it period. It's very easy to build and wicking couldn't be easier. I have a Black and SS in rotation (mainly all I use now). FT had a memorial day sale (10% off code) which I bought 4 more Black Supremes for my Vape Apocalypse Stash. I can't say anything better than that. Now I will say they are thirsty beasts but I DIY my juice so it's not a big deal.So is the Aromamizer Supreme better than the Billow V3 Plus in your opinion? I really like the Billow V3 Plus, less maintenance than Boreas, which i really like also. Sorry for the off topic

PS FT has the SS one for ~$30 and the Black for ~$33. I don't think there is a better deal out there for them. I bought all of mine from them. Be warned they make all my other RTA's to some extent feel like the flavor is muted. I will say out of all my RTA's, I like the Billow V3 Plus next best, but they are all sitting on the shelf. I just can't put the Supremes down. The Griffin 25mm has been a royal PITA and Geekvape CS sucks the big one imo.
Cheers,
Steve
Whew, I feel like I just wrote War and Peace
Yeah yeah and I'm never going with her again, and I'm never drinking again. All right up there with I'm done buying vape gear. Lmao.Thanks.... purchased 2 of the SS for 60.00. Damn it i am done buying shit for my Vape Apocalypse Stash. I just bought a freezer last week and made 5 liters of 250mg nic today lol.
You are really going to like the Supremes. They have separate JFC and AFC. I really like the JFC because it's all marked on the outside, no looking through the glass to see if the holes are opened. It's the only RTA that I've ever had where I don't have it fully opened (I usually run mine about half way). It has knurling in all the right places. Threads are smooth. It's just a high quality piece of equipment imo. I have no complaints whatsoever (that is rare lol).Thanks.... purchased 2 of the SS for 60.00. The Deeming Regs are killing a lot of are bank accounts. Thankfully I'm a pretty thrifty shopper and have sold a few things to help fund the spending spree. I'm a little worried though because my Debit Card flashed a message at me that said "I need a vacation"You're probably right.... But my bank account is saying mercy

What brand of Nic are you using? I'm asking because I just recently bought a liter of Nude Nic (100mg/ml) and it has practically no taste. I make a lot of desert type vapes. A Vanilla Custard mix I came up with myself is my current favorite (6 or 7 ingredients). Having a Nic with no pepper taste really makes a difference for those type of mixes imo. I made a batch up with it and still had some left of one I used Wizard labs Nic in it (I think WL is good, but this is definitely better for desert flavors). I had 5 different people sample and they all said the flavor was more noticeable with the NN. I almost felt like I over-flavored it in comparison but had used the exact same recipe (I've been strictly DIY for years).
PS When you get the Supremes, I'd appreciate it if you tell me what you think. If you need any tips, feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Steve
