I'll be wanting that recipe.
You notice I'm just following you around tonight?
Huh...thought I was following you all this time.
Hey wait a minute didn't you call me crazy when I first told you I wanted to make that?
No I did not, I might have said good luck with that tho.
All of a sudden a couple of months ago I started getting that puke taste from Cap VCV1, and haven't mixed with it since. Once it hit me one time, I can hardly stand to smell the stuff before I start feeling queasy.
It's unfortunate, because so many recipes use VCV1, but I guess I'm just going to sub all of it with FA Custard, right wrong or indifferent. AND I had just bought a 30ml bottle of VCV1. I should PIF that to someone who likes it.
That sucks. I like CAP Vcv1, but don't love it. It needs a loooooooooong steep to be good.
Have you tried Warm Custard VTA? It is great I use that a lot but since @88ArDeN88 clued me in on Custard Prem - FA I have started using it as well mixing the two and am thinking about using it to replace the VCv1 Cap in my other recipes
Shit, you just reminded me. That was what I wanted to put in my last order. I forgot.
yeah it does my VTA/FA custard mix has cut down time quite a bit we are talking 21+ days down to 7
I hate doing that I wish my ELR shopping list would transfer to my cart on flavor suppliers (if there are any BCF staff members lurking and such a thing can be done hint hint) It would save me a ton in shipping charges last month I had to do three orders because I kept forgetting stuff.
I forgot FA Forest Fruit at least six times. Must have had a mental block about the stuff. Now I finally have it, but haven't tried it. smh
I have not tried it, but I definitely will, if I ever have any money again as long as I live. It's beginning to seem like I won't. 2019 has been tough so far.
Forest fruit is really good, lovely sf at 3-4%, darker berries. I'm wanting to pair it up with plum and green apple. Tasted the new CAP mixed berry the other day. Very nice, a brighter berry mix, almost fresh but it's cap so a bit sweet. The new red currant is good too, hoping with a few more days the tart note will get brighter.
I did that for the longest time with Liquid Amber I finally picked it up but now I can not remember what the hell I wanted it for.
If money could talk it would say HEY FUCKER DONT PUT ME IN THERE!!!!!! I mean it would say bye...
Were you wanting a cider? Amber is good for giving a "cooked" note to fruits.
Well I do now apple cider sounds good and it was winter when I first started to order it. Thanks
And the winner is?
Just say it already CHICKEN DINNER
Alright, alright.....y’all have been waiting long enough.
This was a tough one. Seriously. The teams did an AMAZING job with some pretty tough flavors. All the recipes were masterfully done, every single one. We were blown away by the creativity and authenticity. (We(me, @Letitia9 and @jwill ) were a touch apprehensive, admittedly). But, y’all......BRAVO to all 4 teams!! Seriously! Y’all made chili, wasabi and pickle not only vapable, but pretty damn good!
It was definitely a verrrrrry close race.........but in the end, there can be only one. (But, you are all winners in our books for taking on such a difficult challenge!)
So, that said, the winner is...............A Taste of the East! Team Chicken Dinner! Woo hoo!!! Congrats!!
Thank you so much everyone for participating! What a blast! More challenges await this Fall.....

Congrats to the winners and all the teams!!!!
Congratulations to team Chicken Dinner! Huge thanks to all the teams, juices were such a pleasant surprise and definitely an eye opener for me. Will be playing with a couple of these flavors thanks to your talents.
On behalf of team Chicken Dinner, I convey our thanks and appreciation as well as humble respect to our friends on the other teams. Congratulations to all! This was absolutely the toughest challenge so far!
Good job to all. I wasn't sure how this was gonna turn out when i first saw the flavs.
Neither did we!
Thank you to the team that ran n judged this mix off.
Going to post my tasting notes in here so everyone can see what the experience was on this end. I vaped all of each bottle.
1st test was in a Hadalay on a SMPL Mech built kind of mild @ .11 on NI80 triple core clapton
2nd test was another Hadalay clone on a Tesla III so I could play through the power band.
These are listed in the order they were vaped, not the order in which I liked them.
Chili Nights 88
The very first thing that I noticed when opening this bottle is that it smelled like sweet, wet, canned dog food. It was not an exciting aroma.
However that is where the bad ends. This is actually not a bad vape at all and is definitely interesting. It is very confusing and complex but it is absolutely vapeable.
I get an onslaught of a bunch of indiscernible flavors on the inhale but the dominant is pudding of some sort and there are spice notes that faintly say chili spices. Kind of like those cheap chili spice packs you get at the grocery store but its sweet.
On the exhale you get a little more of that sweetness and then it goes away almost immediately.
I wouldn’t buy it as a regular flavor but I am excited to have tried it. I also expected this to be a more dense vape but it is quite light and doesn’t completely smother your pallet.
This has a busy and very confusing flavor profile. The nose on this one is all pickle and bits of the chili spice which is kind of weird, but in the same breath actually kind of a pleasant aroma. This one reminds me of what a pickle would taste like with the Mexican candy chili powder stuff.
On the inhale I get a salty taste and the pickle. Towards the exhale I get some kind of fruit that gives way to the chili spice and more pickle. There are some bitter chocolate hints on the final exhale that pop out for a moment after the pickle dies down. The pickle throughout is actually mild and gives the vape a very unique taste.
I thought this one would make me gag but it doesn’t. Its actually very vapeable and frankly not bad at all. I would not seek this flavor or put it in rotation but I wouldn’t run away from it either if someone brought it up. This has a somewhat dry mouthfeel and is not a dense heavy vape at all.
Pickled Rice w/Wasabi Yum Sauce
This one scared me a little bit on the nose. It actually smells like the name. Pickles, cooked rice and wasabi. This is not a heavy vape and the flavor is rather pleasant as a whole. On the inhale I get notes of the sweet rice and chocolate. The pickle is very absent overall and lends only a salty element to the vape and at the end of the inhale you get a mild spice kick (which I assume is the wasabi) that gives way very quickly to chocolate and sweet rice.
Chocolate and sweet rice together is going to be something that I pursue further.
This is actually executed very well and is quite good. I wouldnt buy it or put it in any kind of rotation but if someone sent me a bottle I would actually vape it.
A Taste of the East
Straight away out of the bottle this one had a sweet nose of Mango. It is rather mild, is only a moderately complex flavor profile. On the inhale you get a rush of mangos and that’s it. Towards the end of the inhale you get a spice kick that gives way to cream and then is mango and spices throughout, then at the very end of the exhale you get a little kick again from the spices.
This is very well executed and is a very surprisingly fresh vape. I would not want to make this a regular thing but I would vape it if it were in front of me. After vaping this for a while, it gave me heartburn.
Also, none of these descriptions are meant as a knock on the work performed. Frankly I am amazed at what was cobbled up by all of you with what you were given. Everyone of you who participated in this has graduated to the next step of awesome as far as I am concerned. Had this been a bunch of unskilled mixers or people who lacked creativity, we would have been vaping used baby diapers and wet summer landfill. Hats off to all of you.
Congratulations teams and well done Team Chicken Dinner (@VAPEROXX @Wb80)...this was not an easy challenge, I tip my hat to all who took part...by the sounds of it backstage it was a really close race chicken dinner only just nudged it over the line
Congrats to team Chicken Dinner!
Congrats also to the other teams! Everyone came up with something using flavors I would not think about buying/using that sounded pretty tasty!
Thanks to the judges, you're brave souls.
And thanks to the challenge team and VU leadership for putting these on! I'm looking forward to the challenges starting up again in the future!
Big thanks to the sponsors of the challenges! We couldn't have done it without you.
