Why do all the articles positive about vaping seem to come from the UK?

My theory is that it is based on the medical care system that each country has.

the UK has a socialist govt provided system. The healthier the patients are the less the government has to pay for their care.

The USA has a profit based private system (mostly) andthe sicker people are the more taxes and such the government takes in. thru medical device taxes, drug taxes, and just plain income tax on the industry and the workers. And the HC industry makes more profits from more sick people.

Another difference is that in the UK no HC industry rep is allowed to directly contact ANY health care provider they must work thru the govt health agency. So no free drug samples, no kickbacks for prescribing, etc.

The AMA And most US HC industry groups coming out and wanting to ban vaping supports my theory...

I agree. Getting sick in the UK costs the gov money. Here, there’s profits to be made from illness. If we had socialized medicine, the idea of banning anything vape related wouldn’t be raised. Except maybe for a nic cap. But that would be to turn kids off, not destroy the vaping industry because BT is losing money. Or because states spent their MSA funds on other things.

At this point, if I could relocate to the UK, I would!

now we add in something Called the MSA and the synergistic's of the CDC,AMA, and other anti tobacco agency's who's goal is to get you off cigarette's but cigarette taxes pay for them to do so. so they dont want everyone to quit tobacco just a small few.

also an interesting read https://reason.com/2019/09/11/michael-bloombergs-anti-vaping-crusade-is-objectively-pro-tobacco/

The total economic cost of smoking in the US is estimated at more than $300 billion a year. This includes nearly $170 billion in direct medical care for adults and more than $156 billion in lost productivity due to premature death and exposure to secondhand smoke [2].May 10, 2016

Note that was in 2016, much higher now.
