how do you get along with the crown...been thinking hard on that one...the only rebuildable tanks i still use are a kayfun, and hurricane for mouth to lung goodness and an aromamizer for going through liquid and batteries like nobodies business...think i like the battery life and small liquid consumption of the kayfun and hurricane vs the guzzling properties of the aromamizer...

Cthulhu v2. Amazing flavor plus single or dual coil decks. Massive, Massive clouds when you put in a good build with the right wicking.

+1 for the Steam Crave Aromamizer.!! It's a joy to rebuild with the velocity deck. And it's a beast. Good flavor, and vapor for days.
I've built it with anything from 28ga to 22ga kanthal, and a couple titanium builds for TC, and it just flat works.
That being said, I still prefer my Crown tank with stock coils for temp control.

    Single coil Smok TFV4 Tank
because then you only need to build a singe coil or you can use the 3/4 coil premades

I just put the first build in mine. So far I'm thinking I like it. Nice, dense, warm vape. Fiddly little deck, tho. Really nice to fill, for a bottom-fill.

That small deck, the smaller air channels and that "ridge" are what led me to try this RTA. All I know for sure is this: I'm getting much more flavour and a denser vape than I did from the Crius, using the same coils & wattage.

    I'll agree with your statement.

I have yet to see a bottom airflow RDA that doesn't look like a leak monster.

Direct airflow as in it comes from the sides "directly" on the coils rather the from under the coils

Both the bellus and aeromarizer have super intense flavor and clouds but it depends on the build i run .2ohm twisted 26g kanthal and those 2 tank systems out perform all the other tanks ive ever used both cloud and flavor

Thats subjective. I need big clouds for big flavor, thats just my style.
Also no way rtas are better than rdas for flavor, except in that one lost episode of the twilight zone.

That was my reaction. Unless one expects "This is the best tank," w/o explanation, there's going to be discussion.

FWIW: Only two tanks, for me, so far, but my experience has jibed with what @Shark Vape's comments predict: I've both an OBS Crius and EHPro/Eciggity Billow V2 Nano. The former has a big, wide-open build deck, with a commensurately large atomizer chamber, and big air ducts under the coils. The latter tank has a cramped deck, much smaller atomization chamber and much smaller air ducts. The BV2N also has a shorter chimney and narrower-bore drip tip. I'm getting much denser, more flavourful vapour from the BV2N than I did from the Crius, with the same coils, literally the same coils, wicking material, mod and wattage.

I would have to agree. Direct airflow does rob some flavor in my opinion. I love my aromamizer, but the crown beats it hands down for flavor.

i have been enjoying the Bellus RTA. the great thing about it is that you can remove the build deck without needing to empty the tank, can use single or dual coil builds and gets plenty of air flow. the down sides are a smaller build deck and if its not wicked wright, it can leak. overall, im quite satisfied with it. it has become my everyday tank. this image is one of my first builds on it. ive changed it a few times since then and currently have dual 12 wrap 26g nichrome sitting at about 1.0 ohms on my istick 40w. no pictures of it at the moment though. still, at 40 watts it produces the most vapor of any rta i have ever used.

I have heard its the new tfc4. It's a good head but it's not all in the head its also the vaper. I have an old aspire atlantis v1 that i find able to pull more clouds than my brother with his snowlof 200 watt and tfv4. I got the 8ml extension and took off the air flow control, i even went as far as to drill more airholes into the base and the drip tip, but be careful with this as you can break the vape. It's not difficult and you can do it with most heads. I can run it with the atlantis 2 0.3 ohm coilds that i also frequently take apart and rebuild at .1 ohm, making it hard to beat and one of a kind.

TFV4 using the four coil, coil, is putting out the clouds. 32.5 watts is just right for me. Then I use the crown as the TFV4 is cooling down.

That TF-Q4 is great fun as a cloud machine, but I prefer the CLP2 for flavor and lower juice consumption. Have the quad Clapton on order,

I like my Griffin. The top fill method and large holes for the wires gives it high points :) However, both my subtank and billow tanks still kicks @ss. :)

    Griffin
    Mutank
    Aromamizer
    Goblin mini
    Billow v2
I only opinion all of those tanks are very good. My favorite right now is the griffin(also my newest) it has outstanding flavor, good airflow, and decent clouds. A close 2nd is the mutank I don't think the flavor is quite as good as the griffin but it's close and I'd say it had a little more airflow and clouds are defiantly bigger, but wicking it is more complicated you really have to fill the huge juice well's or it will leak. Also when filling the mutank I have leaking issues about 50% of the time and I've tried the different methods like turning it upside down before opening the airflow and sucking on it with the airflow off and it doesn't always work. The goblin mini and the billow v2 are also very good tanks my only issues with them are their build deck size you can't fit very big coils in them. Also there clouds aren't very big depending on the build, they come no where near the cloud production on the mutank. The aromamizer I have a love/hate relationship with. I can't seem to wick it where it both vapes great and doesn't leak when left on its side. I've given up trying and have been forced to except that if I want to use it I can't put it on its side or it will make a mess. This has led me to basically abound on it it just sits on my desk not being used. I don't own and have never used a crius I've read and watched a lot of videos about it and while it does look like a great tank I can't justify buying one because it seems like the griffin is just an improved version of the crius. Also I've never tried the nano billow but I did hear it has better flavor. Anyway that's my opinion I own a lot of rta's and a lot of rda's and those are defiantly my favorite rta's.(mutank is technically a sub ohm tank and a rta but i only use the rta section)

Love my Griffin and also my new Avacado is ripper too. My Avo was shorting for no reason soon after I got it though. Saw a review where a guy with the same problem took his completely apart and reassembled it and it was fine. I just used a flat head driver to back out the center pin from inside the deck just a hair and now it works fine. Still not entirely sure why this problem occurs but mine works fine now and its a great genesis style rta with a full sized velocity style deck. I'm running a single fused clapton build on it and it is killer.

The connection on the Avocado is slightly to short, so yeah a single turn of the pin out and it's good.

I like the Griffin better overall because of the lack of heat issues. I can use better coils in it. The flavor on the Avocado is better though with the same coils. I have Aliens from Purecoils.com (@CrazyChef 's thing) in my Griffin right now and it's just splendid. If I put them in my Avocado though I'd only get a few pulls before I'd have to back off so I don't burn my fingers on the tank. The Griffin handles them with flying colors though. I have some simple Fused Claptons in the Avocado (2X26gK/40gK) and it's right there on flavor but less vapor production.

The Gemini looks nice if you feel the Griffin lacks airflow which could be a thing for vapor production (cloud chasing) but it'll mute the flavor. So IMO the Griffin is top dog overall, Gemini a ripoff of the Griffin aiming towards cloud chasers, but the Griffin has a top airflow attachment coming out which should make it basically the same as the Gemini if that's your thing.

So if the question is what's the best tank out right now. Griffin is the standard. Gemini if you want more airflow, though the Griffin will be right there once the attachment is out (so no reason to buy the Gemini if you have the Griffin, just wait till that's out).

I run 3 tanks right now, the Griffin (amazing vapor production making up for it's "lack" of flavor, which is only relative to the other two I have). The Haze which is unrivaled in anything I've tried in purity of flavor. And the Avocado which is a nice mix between the two, unable to handle the coils the Griffin can for vapor production, but giving a more pure flavor close to the Haze.

Now flavor is off topic for the cloud chaser forum, but worth mentioning when talking about the comparison between the Griffin and Avocado, as it's the only real difference. Want cloud chasing the Griffin is better.

Im running an RX200 with a clapton quad coil...and this thing is amazing. I just bout a REMatty and have yet to do a build on it. New to that end of it. ill have to post a vape pic with this setup...its not bad.

Ha...forgot to mention Tank...TFV4 with Clapton Quad coil. Its a hard to find coil still, I just moved to Cape Coral, FL and cant find it. The guy at one of the shops tried to hand me a standard quad.

I have a Griffin RTA on my Reuleaux DNA 200 and it is a great tank. The flavor is good and vapor production is as good or better than some of my RDA's. If you get the wicking right, you will not have any leaks but I have to admit, it took me a couple of trys to learn what I was doing wrong. I would highly recommend the Griffin to anyone wanting a cloud blowing, flavorful RTA. My next favorite is the Billow V2 Nano that I have on my Evic Mini. The only reason it is not my favorite is that the build deck is smaller than the Griffin but you can work around it. I have dual 5 wrap Clapton's in it right now and it is really nice for flavor and vapor production. I also love the ledge for the wick that they put on the deck because it makes wicking this little jewel very easy. I have not had a drop of leakage from this tank from my first and subsequent builds. I can't say that for the Griffin when I first got it even though it doesn't leak now that I know how to wick it.

I'll 3rd err.. 4th the Chuthulu V2! Chucks Clouds. You can put some big builds on that sucker and w/ the extra large juice chanels you get plenty of juice, fast, to the coil. Only complaint is the flavor is meh... Hopefully a drop kit is pending.

The Leopard 2A7 isn't too shabby either. Wonder what the Leo 3 will be like.

Best tank out is impossible to answer. I have most tanks produced the past year and I keep going back to the original Melo tank with a TFV4 driptip on it. Some blow way to much vapor for full time use. Everyone has to find their own personal best. I rebuild all stock coils so rebuildable do not matter to me as all tanks are rebuildables. We are all different and that what makes the world spin around. CHEERS!

Do you think the new class of RTA's, like the Boreas, Alleria, and Ijoy Tornado require very customized builds to perform, and that the appeal is exclusively for those who can tap into the potential these tanks offer?

Also, in the past week alone, we have the TF-RTA and Herakles RTA. The Herk is 25 mm wide and holds 6 ml.

    Opinions?
