What amp batteries for 30-40 watts @ .3-.5ohm?

Been reading for days and Im still lost.

It seems that since I vape at 30-40watts, and .3-.5ohms, I'm good with pretty much any battery rated over 10a

But will I notice a difference with 15a vs 30a batteries?

Is it purely a safety issue?

Thanks!!

See http://www.steam-engine.org/batt.html

30-40w is just a tad over "tootle-puffers", (they live around 12-15w).

I happily live below 50w using 25R's that continue to be cheap and available. My mechanicals can use those for a day, but I prefer the VTC5a for the mechs. THe DNA mods and Yihi are perfectly happy with the 25r's

You need to look at:
  1. Mech vs Regulated
  2. OHMS (load)
  3. Single, Parallel, Series
  4. Ohms Law vs Watts Law.
20amp cells are usually perfectly adequate and affordable.
30amp cells are more costly, and usually have even lower mAH.
Parallel cells double the amps-available, but the voltage is the same.
Series cells double the voltage, but the amps remain the same.

I am using a wotofo FLUX mod... Takes 2 18650's... 18ohm mesh coils. No idea if they are in series or parallel.. I would guess parallel. I want to get an RTA so I can eliminate $5 coils.

Just trying to figure out which batteries are best for my needs and make sure I'm safe.

Here's something Mooch wrote a while back, that helps with picking batteries for regulated.

I use Samsung 30Q for a single cell mod at the wattages you are talking.
sony VTC6 might be a bit better choice and of course HG2 would be fine.

I use 30Q for that wattage range also, and VCT6 .
