In one of the more impressive testaments to just how flexible Dark Souls can be when it comes to equipment and abilities, footage has emerged of a player downing Pontiff Sulyvahn - one of the game's tougher bosses - in a single move.
YouTuber neptunusequester achieved the feat through a cocktail of equipment, weapon and spell buffs, even intentionally getting hit for high damage (that's not a mistake at the start of the video) to gain a stat boost. The result was a parry and riposte that more than tripled the usual damage dealt.
