So with all those who are boycotting Uwell I'm curious to see if they buy any products from eFest, Aspire, Sigelei, Wismec, any Joytech company?

At the risk of being obvious, I think they see it as a short term money grab. Like a casino, they need to invest just enough to keep us spending. Each company has had one or two breakthrough products. There are exceptions at the high and low ends, but not middle of the market.

Never bought anything from Aspire or efest. The only Sig I own is the Sig 75 tc. It's a great Lil mod. The Wismec stuff I own are the 2 Reuleaux's the DNA and non DNA and I still use them everyday. After seeing what Sig did with the 213 I wouldn't buy another Sig but I have no issues with Wismec or Joytech.

Point I'm making is as sad as it is this is normal behavior, especially with the Chinese companies. The malicious behavior of eFest and Sigelei though I refuse to give them any business whatsoever.

With Uwell though they are at least trying to make up for a mistake.

They're at least attempting to make up for it (as lame as it is) unlike Sigelei, Aspire, any Joytech company like eleaf, Wismec, etc.

is it because we accept it or is it because most people don't know any better?
I mean how many people know about the IPV6 issues, the sig 213 issgues? the 510 issues on wismec/joyetech products? the thin ass wiring in the RX series? the coil issues with crown? that efest batteries are crap and they tried suing mooch who exposed them? The answer is probably about .0000001% of the vaping community.

Forums are the vocal minority, B&M shops are more about making a sale then about educating or giving people quality products, the FDA is against vaping because big pharma and big tobacco have them by the balls. The vaping industry can't get better unless everyone is on board with making things better and thats going to be impossible. all we can do as vapers is to support the good companies and try to spread information so others can make good decisions as well.

Yep, you nailed it right on the head.

I myself if I walk in to a B&M that sells eFest I ask why would they put their customers at risk. The excuses I hear are pathetic. B&M I hang out at only carry LG or Samsung, small shop and certainly not a chain.

Also look at the obsession for Clones. I understand getting a quality $20 Clone for a $100+ device, but a $12 Clone for a $18 authentic?

Anyway I could go on and on how general society don't care about quality, only cheap and immediate gratification, to hell with long term effects.

just look at the new user area how many people talk about how they just got an RX or sig 213 mod and love it with their new efest batteries lol. Hell remember the dude that went to his B&M to quit smoking and he spent 400 bucks? they sold him a lavabox DNA 200 mod and a kanger protank lol. that's ridiculous. I mean it's a great mod don't get me wrong but for quitting and buying a pro tank he could have got a 25 dollar pico and it would do just as good.

as far as clones go, I agree. I don't mind clones. i have a few myself but say a company like geekvape or digiflavor who sell their authentic at under 40 bucks and are great quality. I'd buy those all the time over a clone. even if the clone was 5 bucks lol. The clones I have are usually for way overpriced shit. for instance i got a so horney clone for 10 bucks. the authentic is 150 bucks and it isn't even that good. I would have been pissed paying 150 bucks for it.

Yep, I've got an Abaddon Clone only reason because I couldn't find an Authentic. Got a few Kayfun V5 Clones cause I wasn't going to pay $200 on an Authentic. Now I see them for $119, I enjoy it so much I'm going to get an Authentic. I got a Mose rda clone for $13 to try it out. Love the design, performance and zero leaking even when over dripping so I just ordered 2 Authentics.

But you have for example the O-atty, $150+ RDA that is a 304 SS spin off of the Narda. Hell I'm just going to buy a Clone on principle alone.

Besides Clones are in fact fakes ripping off the design of someone else I don't trust most all of them. Lead in the paint, high lead count in the Copper and Brass, etc, etc.

some companies are known for making good clones though like tobecco and ehpro and hcigar. all 3 of them also make their own original stuff as well.

I've really been impressed with the quality from SXK. Also have a few original Tobeco devices, I really like their Symbiote and Glasses RDA'S, I use them a lot.

I also have a generic Clone of the Tres Equis that I really like and won't buy the Authentic. The Clone improved the design IMO.

I got one guy on FB claiming he's done his own tests on the 213 and it does indeed do tc and 213 watts. He's says I should stop spreading false information and listen to experienced vapers like him. Lmfao.

Guys, what is this SE-1? Better than Crown II? If it takes the coils and is better, sold. What is different about it? I do not see anywhere that says.

As far as clones the problem is most of the time they are crap or dangerous. I really do not give a shit if the next buys them but I don't. Plus it is a rip off of someones work. personally I cannot feel good about that. Like Kayfun clones are a dime a dozen and ubiquitous. I understand in that regard if they are tried and true not everyone has the money. So I am fine with that. Mostly concerned about everyone's safety.

B&M's are a huge fucking ripoff. They do not need to sell for those prices to stay in business. More like go out of business. I only shop online now. They can pray on the walk in "i want to quit smoking". For seasoned vapers if your money matters no way go in there. Plus most of them are either clueless kids or jag offs.

Strangely enough, I've found a smoke shop or two that will sell for just a couple dollars over online price. Combination cigar, hookah, head shop, bodega, but mostly experienced vapers and big selection.

The lack of attitude with the smokers is kind of nice. Not that long ago, the majority of us vapers.

As for authenticity, no guarantee from any source, though there are some vendors I trust. Chances are, even some of the good ones occasionally get clones without being aware of it.

SE-1 is supposed to be a Crown 2.1 according to Vaping Fagn.

As for B&M's, there are a few good ones out there and if it wasn't for a great B&M in my City I'd still be on the Stinkies. They're small, don't work on commission and their #1 priority is to get people off the Stinkies. If they carry what I'm looking for I am always glad to pay the premium to help them stay in business. They are also very active in advocacy which sadly very few are, fact is most don't get involved which is pathetic.

About the only difference I see in the Crown 2 and SE-1 is the shape of the air intake. My guess is with all the bad press the Crown 2 got over the coils they decided to re-introduce it under a new name. Funny that it states it uses the new Crown 2 coils in the description when in all honesty it is a Crown 2 with a newly shaped air intake.

This is partially true.
They are now on version 4 of the coils.
The newest version of the coils are actually pretty nice.
I can't tell you if they'll last longer than 3-4 days but once I pass that point I'll be happy to report the result.
Other differences between the 2 tanks are;
No anti-spitback piece
No locking system.
Knurling is a bit different. (cosmetic)
Added full flat grommet in top cap that is supposed to prevent leaks. Although this was included in SOME of the Crown II (so far it works)
Larger air flow holes. (just a bit larger than the air flow holes as Rafale tank)
That really is about it.
A minor design change.
The real difference is version 4 of the coils.
The insulator is how you'll tell the coils apart.
It is yellow instead of black.
(the O-ring is still yellow as well)
I can't tell if the wire its self is different.
I've only tested the SS 0.25 coil.
So the Crown II, Rafale, and SE1 coils are all interchangeable.

For those that feel they got burnt due to all the bad coils, it may not be enough for you but from what I can tell, they have resolved the actual issue.
Will it be enough to change your opinion of Uwell?
That is up to you to decide if you want to give them another try.

For those that feel every manufacture needs to own up to their defects and fix their problems,
they did indeed make better coils.
Is it enough? Your call.
If you are waiting for a "recall" it isn't going to happen.
They made the coils better than the shit ones they produced, my guess is that is as far as they'll go.
So if you purchased boxes and boxes of the bad coils, unfortunately you were burnt.

I ordered mine for testing purposes directly from the link the OP posted.
That "sale" is no longer going on.
The site requests age verification wanting either a pic of you and your DL or for you to download an APP for it.
I chose to do NOTHING knowing I was taking a chance of them not shipping it.
It arrived in 2 days and was in my mailbox with no requirement of age verification.
Shipping was $7 for me.

Yeah, I actually won a free Crown mini and I'm looking forward to getting it. Should be perfect for my 18350 stealth Vape. I'm going to give them credit for making an effort to make up for the blunder. It's more than any other Vape company has done. At least they never threatened to sue like Sigelei or eFest ;)

I did NOT buy crown 2 only 1
And I did but TVF8 but not tvf4 lol
Only cause of reading reviews and watching---/ and deciding which suited me better.
The one tank I grabbed that I'm not loving is the Atlantis 2-/-/ I may pick up again or give to a friend who is trying to quit

Yep and that's what I use exclusively other than once on very, very rare occasions I'll pop in a factory coil. When I do that I'll only keep in in for maybe a day or two then pop in a build in the RBA.

Thing with the RBA it's finicky, but once you get it it's actually really easy. Things that work with me are

1. 2mm di coil is the sweet spot
2. when wicking fluff out the leads and cut at a 45 degree angle up. Fluff it out to almost like a pancake style wick. Also when stuffing the cotton in do it dry, don't juice it until all the cotton is in place.

Stick with it and once you do find the right combo it's a breeze, but again it's finicky and it will take a number of trys to get it down. But honestly it's very much worth the time and effort. I will pop a SS fused clapton in at around 0.45 -0.5 ohms and it's one very tasty and smooth Vape.

PM me if you get it and I'll send you some pix on how I wick it.

My experience with Uwell has been stellar in regards with the defective Crown 2 coils that came with the tank, (two of them). They sent me a tube of 4 yellow O-ring coils totally free. I also won a "free" Crown Mini, so I bought a rba too. $7 for 1-3 day expedite is reasonable. Free 30 days from China is fine if that's what you want. I think Uwell is very conscientious compared, say to Big Pharma or the sugar industry. Just my take.

You guys have literally 0 credibility when it comes to Uwell and their coils. Yes they put out bad coils, they messed up, it happens, but if you take a few minutes out of your busy schedule and contact them by email to explain the issue they will go ahead and send you replacements. FOR FREE! Yes you heard it right, new version of coils absolutely free.

Their tanks have THE BEST fit and finish in the whole industry. I have literally exchanged numerous kanger, joyetech, smok, and many other tanks because of their shitty fit and finish. Dont bad mouth a company when you havent even reached out to them to address the issue.

I think you need to go back and read the OP. Different people had different experiences. I reached out to them 3 times via email and not once did I get a response. I guess perception is reality. You know if you fight for your limitations you get to keep them. I am not the only one that had this experience. How about not putting out janky coils to begin with? The whole point of the OP was to point out that we as vapers actually cannibalize ourselves by constantly supporting companies that obviously don't give a shit about ripping us off. In the end it all comes down to a personal choice. No one should tell anyone how to spend their hard earned dollars. That doesn't mean we can't talk about it and have an open honest discussion about it. Personally for me Uwell has not shown me anything in the way of customer service to warrant me giving them access to my vaping dollars. For me there are way to many companies out there doing things right with great customer service. The point is we always have a choice and until I see different behavior from Uwell I've made mine.

Like jack said, if you had bothered to read through the thread rather than galloping in atop your steed to white knight you'd know that many of us (myself included) reached out to Uwell.

I guess I do owe Uwell a bit of credit.. if it was not for their shit coils I wouldn't have moved away from pre-made coils and over to rebuildables when I did. Thanks Uwell!

Well then maybe your experience is not with some of the better tanks out there because I can think of quite few tanks right off the top of my head that have equal if not better fit and finish than the Crown. Notice I'm conversing with you without attacking your credibility.

I am not attacking anyone. I was just amazed that people complain about free stuff and giveaways, and then speculate doom and gloom about a company that had bad coils for a single tank.
It sucks you had a bad experience. I dont know why when other people I know had a smooth interaction when it came to coil exchanges.
Stick with what works for you.

Jack....Had the exact same experience....I believe you and I were some of the first to buy the faulty coils and mentioned it on VU. Uwell didn't give me or you the time of day. It took hundreds if not thousands of complaints about shitty coils before they did anything for anyone. I'm down to about 6 paks of the original .25 coils which worked fine. Now I'm stuck with a dozen paks of hit or miss coils.

I'll try emailing them again with a link to this thread. Perhaps they will take the shitty coils back and send a dozen good paks, but I'm not holding my breath.

So we can add lack of reading comprehension and poor vocabulary to your list of achievements...

It was not just one tank. The original crown had coil issues, the rafail was an abortion and the crown two an abomination. So what do you do for Uwell? Low level marketing troll? Entry level? Keep on climbing that troll latter, you'll make it to the top eventually.

Guy has less than 100 posts. Half of his posts are defending Uwell. Attacks people's credibility. Then goes on to say he didn't attack anyone. Smfh. Talk about credibility issues?

Thank GOD I didn't grab crown 2 ! I was tossing my mind crown 2 or TVF8 ----
I had one problem w my FIrst coil on TVF8-
Now I'm good-
But I heard people had problems w kanger subtank I didn't- so on so forth.
It's safe to say that we all think and do things our way and our experience & preferences are our own
I see after crown 1(for me) u well just never kept up their game.
I'll wait and see

The stock Fender washer in the cap of the Crown II is not the right washer. Have no idea why they did that. Otherwise it is my favorite tank. I find the TFV8 to not be nearly as good. Of course this is just personal opinion. They are both fine. Whatever suits you.

I had a question and I know it is OT. I did not think I needed another thread for something so trivial. I use 500Ml of juice a month. Is that considered a lot or like nuts?

I actually own three of the Crown II's, it's a really good Tank. I though rarely ever use stock factory coils, I use the RBA deck.

As far as generic subtanks go, I agree with the shill, it's a very well made tank. However, for its intended purpose, all that quality is useless if the coils suck.

It's like having a beautiful car and you pop the hood and see a hamster on a treadmill where the engine should be. Who gives a fuck how nice the tank is if the coils are shit?
