Hello everyone, thanks for checking out this topic...

My dad is at 2-3 packs a day of Winston Reds. He is willing to try vaping again, but he wants a strong, natural, bold tobacco juice. To use his words, "None of that mango foo foo shit..." lol.

I know he will come around, once his taste buds return to normalcy but until then, he wants what he wants.

Ive never made a tobacco juice - ever. There are many concentrates out there. I'm looking for the most accurate that I can get and possibly even a recipe if someone has a good blend. Please, help me get my 68 year old dad off the nasty sticks!

Anxiously awaiting your suggestions,

- Bart

Fa virgina, 7 leaf and latikia are pretty decent tobaccos add in some burely and you are golden. You can get a fairly close ashy cig flavor from Latakia about 5-6%

Bart: Here is a red cigarette:

1. RY1 Hangsen --------------- 1.2 ml
2. USA Mix Red Hangsen -----.4ml
3. PG----------------------------11.9ml
4. VG nic 100mg/ml------------7.2ml is 24mg
5. VG zero-----------------------9.3ml

If you want an 18mg strength reduce the nic amount to 5.4 ml and raise the VG zero to 11.1. Good luck with your dad.You can buy flavors at RTS. I like Hangsen tobaccos alot. I lost my mom to cigarettes. This blend has little sweetness and good red flavor. If you need a quieter cig or a full blown turkish just message me.

Mom is picky as shit.
Been making a combo of juices for her
I get a bit crazy on blending the tobaccos and she loves em, Since I was sick last week I did not feel like making her a juice with any thought and handed her the tuscano that HIC posted... but added a couple % of vanilla to round off the sweetness.
She has informed me to make it again.

Four Real Tobaccos are available - not like any other. Very Good - No artificial flavors
I suggest the Cowboy as first choice. These were engineered for long term (ex) smokers.

Virginia
Burley
Turkish
and a Cowboy Menthol

Four Real Teas:
Very similar to the tobacco experience without the tobacco.Very botanical and refreshing.
Darjeeling
Earl Grey
Jasmine
Moroccan Mint

Sample kits are available

Thank you all, very much! He wouldn't do anything menthol - hates the stuff. I order a few that were originally suggested. Now I'm going to buy him the e1000 E-Pipe and go to town making some juice for him! :)

i know what he is talking about.. i hate desert tobbys.. and after tastes.
I dont like my tobacco too light, but i dont like it harsh or well.. heavy.. strong is good.
so yes we all can be picky, its finding the right combo..

my suggestion is to let him see you mix it.. get him to smell the flavorings too..
between the 2 of you, you are bound to come up with something that will work.

I know he will like that, Bart, and wish the both of you the best..
if i find my stash of recipes.. ugg.. will find the one i have been hunting for a week now and share.

Start off simple:

Virginia
Burley or Captain Black
Turkish
Perique (1-2 percent, this stuff is strong and smokey)
Vanilla (small amount to round off the flavors)

What you're making is a Cavendish Pipe Tobacco

There are some scattered around VU. Here are some that use just FA flavorings:

* several here: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/have-a-flavorart-cigar.5850/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/irish-roadside-tobacco.25273/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/shade-of-pear.5049/
from Italy: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/coffee-break.15445/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/eds-sweet-fig-tobacco.21016/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/smokey-blue-where-are-you-tobacco.23408/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/midnight-apple.19907/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-toscanello-fondente-chocolate-toscano-cigar.17785/

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/teris-cigs.8545/
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/a-currant-affair-by-jason.2858/

Another thing you can do is search for the names of different FA tobaccos in this thread: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/flavourart-club-formally-known-as-the-purevapes-thread.2501/ Make sure you're logged in, which gives you the search box on the right, under the VU logo. Type in the name of a tobacco and tick "search this thread only".
For example, if you search "Cuban" in that thread, you get this: http://vapingunderground.com/search/412029/?q=cuban&t=post&o=date&c[thread]=2501
Lots of times, you'll find good combinations or even whole recipes listed there that never got posted to the recipes subforum.

Smoky Blue, I hunted but couldn't find a recipe for the Pipe vapes you mentioned here. Any chance you could post them? I'm trying to get a young friend off analogs and these might do the trick, especially the Black Cherry. Thanks.

Thank you for the post and the recipes. Is there one of those you would suggest that I could sub cherry or black cherry into to get a cherry tobacco?

Any of my Captain recipes, you can add 1% Black Cherry fa to..
be careful with the cherry flavors.. some do not turn out right..
you might want to start even lower with the black cherry at .5% and increase in .5% increments..

Cherry is a hard flavor to work with, and not every one can taste it right..

you can also sub pomegranate into it, same percents, in place of cherry.

My 60 year old uncle quit his 2 pack-a-day habit with:

1% Little Space Drop (Inawera)
0.5% Tobacco Absolute Virginia (Inawera)
0.5% DNB (Inawera)

Mixed that for him at 15mg strength, 70PG/30VG and he loves it. 6 months later, he's still going through almost 100ml/week of that stuff using a regular Aspire BDC CE5-S and eGo Twist. Best part is he hasn't since touched or craved a real cig.

It's straight up tobacco, no foo-foo shit. Little Space Drop has a very faint nut taste, but almost indistinguishable at 1%.

Many tobacco vapers have a penchant for Hangsen tobaccos -- myself included. They are known for standalone tobacco flavors. Some excellent choices for him would be their Churchhill, Red USA Mix and Canadian.

Churchhill is their Winston flavor, and quite good. However, coming off 2 pks/day his tastebuds may need a stronger flavor. The Red USA Mix (i.e. Marlboro Red) fits this bill. Canadian is tastes similiar to Red with even stronger flavor. All would be excellent choices. I mix all at 8%. Good luck.

Hey Smoky, which did you try? Hangsen has around 75 different tobacco flavors -- so you might want to try some more. Or let me know your interest and I'll try to point you in the right direction. Unlike some others, Hangsen tobacco flavors are actual extractions from natural tobacco leaves using molecular distillation, supercritical fluid extraction, molecular interception, etc.

Fair enough, everyone has likes and dislikes. I've been through TFA (mostly tobacco molecules rather than full flavors), FA (some good but many "tobacco-like" flavors), Inawera (I liked several but ceased after finding a telltale "buttery" taste across several flavors). The Hangsens have, by and large, all been decent to good. Other than a buttery taste in their Pipe Tobacco, the ones I don't vape are largely a matter of personal taste/palate. And thank you for the recipes, I'm going to try a few. Is the "Old Havana" the one by Inawera?

i mix the fa's with my extracts.. either herbal, or tobacco blends..
the tfa, well after a year and a half.. naw.. sides what i can do with my extracts, well..
but inawera has a common back taste/ after taste that just turns me completely off.. :/
even the shisha's have it.. sad but true..

old havana is ina.. but if you know your cigars you can easily make your own.. :)

Another thing you could try is.. Go to a full fledged vaping shop..

Like harry potter, the owner doesnt pick the vape piece, the vape piece picks the owner.

Then try some samples.. He'll find his "blend" without the hassle of going through a tonne of money trying to find the one he likes..

Another thing is, if there are more than one flavour he likes, he'll be able to try them all.

Also, he might be able to pick a combination of flavours into one oil, get a fairly large amount made until you get the recipe.
