ANOTHER conflict of interest involving Kim Foxx: Judge who will decide if a special prosecutor investigates her handling of the Jussie Smollett case is urged to remove himself because his son works for her
  • Judge Leroy Martin Jr. was asked to step away from the case because of the potential conflict of interest
  • His son, Leroy III, is a prosecutor in juvenile court but works beneath Foxx

  • Now, the judge has a week to decide on if he will stay on the case or step down
  • Foxx says there is no need for a special prosecutor and that she acted ethically
  • She has been widely criticized for dropping the 16 felony charges against Smollett in exchange for him paying $10,000 and doing 16 hours of community service
