I think you will get very good results as I do 70 -80/30-20 and the flavor is excellent with the OBS .. I had just ordered another one actually.

i think this will be my next RTA over the griffin 25 plus. i keep hearing too many good tings on the engine to pass up
I was interested in the OBS for the leak proof design right off the bat... ended up winning one b4 I could purchase .. and really fell in love with the thing... very leak proof / easy to build on / and a real flavor hound ... also small and compact .. really nothing to say about it on the neg at all.
The only gripe with the Engine and pretty much most side fill tanks is it can be messy filling with a dropper.
My first wick I did like in the owners manual, was good not great. Rewicked just like a Boreas or aromamizer with just the tails laying on the deck and wow, big difference.
I have been using a lot more now since it is not a juice hog so I can take it on the road with me.
All around great tank, will probably buy the black version on black Friday.

Yup. Unicorn bottle or a syringe/blunt needle makes the whole thing WAY cleaner. Pretty much true on most tanks that don't have big juice ports, but the side fill makes it even more so.
I'm like @Eskie and using 70%VG with no wicking issues.
With the 120 watts I'm vaping it at, no once have I been concerned about a dry hit.
Although it does like the juice.

This will be my 3rd combo.
I REALLY like it.
However other than the drip tip, it is basically the same as the Limitless Plus or Classic.
You just get the option of MULTIPLE decks to swap out with.
THAT is the selling point.
As for the Maxo, the positive thing is I have zero hopes for it.
I mean I don't hope it is the greatest thing since Reese's cups AND I don't hope it sucks.
Doesn't matter what the results of testing are, I needed them because I didn't have them.
(although I secretly hope some of my 30mm tanks look awesome on them but don't tell anyone)

I have a pair of the LUX as you've noticed and they definitely look good with the 30mm tanks.
In TC mod they have a 80 watt limitation.
Other than that, they do the job well.
Also has .5 second custom ramp up times.

Yeah I'm trying to see if it'll fall to 60 os less with batts. Seen one site that had 20 % off Sale and was listed at 72. Was gonna jump on it but the coupon code didn't work for the lux so I passed. Black Friday should be good though

I have to admit that the LUX with the tank by Scottua might be my favorite combo right now.
Never thought I would like the LUX but then again never thought a 30mm tank would be so good. I am sure the Scottua would be great on a lot of my mods but it is just a perfect fit with the LUX.

Hehe, finally, I get YOU to buy something. ....lol.
I got the clone from fasttech, about $13 and change when they had a coupon. The only thing I will warn you about is the condensation on top of the mod because the airflow is right next to the 510 on the tank. I cut a mod protector myself to keep the condensation from forming on top of the mod.

Manny mentioned that the Scottua and modfather are real close, he just didn't like the condensation under the Scottua. With the fix I posted above you could save $60 to $70.......admittedly I would still like a Modfather though but the Scottua kicks ass

Nice to know. Thanks. I'll probably still get one but this is more my expectation. The way people made it sound was it beat out bottom airflow tanks and I didn't think that was possible

The base of the OBS is identical to the SMOK TF-RDTA.
I was unaware of this until I started building on the TF- about 5 minutes ago.

Did you get the glass bubble tank or acrylic?
I have both but since the acrylic is so much more durable and colorful I have chosen to stick with those.
With the exception of the Micro TFV4 with the 0.3Ω coil, I do think the Limitless Plus, Classic, and Combo do in many cases.
But not all naturally.

Haven't tried a combo yet. Had a limitless (not the plus) gave it away after getting the avacado which I liked a little more but neither come close to the Pharoah to me for flavor. Tsunami is probably 2nd for flavor. Both bottom air. But hey to each their own. I'll probably get a plus and combo soon anyway

Highly recommend the obs engine. I own 2. One in each color and thinking about getting a third. No leaking, great flavor, easy to build/wick, small stubby design, and holds 5ml. I found it best to lay wick tails above the holes like boreas/supreme. Don't stuff into holes like some suggest. And for under 30, it's a no brainer.

Yeah, I have the 25mm versions but there are 22mm versions and they hold the same amount of juice. I just haven't been able to find the 22mm ones for sale. Plus I prefer 25mm tabks. The black looks good but I prefer the ss. The black has ss highlights, wish it was solid black.
just got the 2nd one today.. (black) .. agreed wish it was ALL black but still looks good.. all my mods are black with one exception so fits in nice.
I want to revisit this, because I am now on the fence.
After going through many more fills, I feel I get JUST SHY of a dry hit.
It really isn't a dry hit but I think if I were one to take a softer draw, it'd be dry.
I take hard hits so I am literally pulling the juice through.
The flavor is still improving with each fill but with this build @115 watts I now feel I am 5 watts away from a dry hit.
Or if the juice flow was ANY less, it'd definitely be dry.
This is just MY experience, maybe no one else will get the same result.
Do you stuff your cotton into the holes or lay them on top??

Regardless of what many say I have had better luck tucking the wicking into the holes.
I do tend to get better results tucking however both result in the same end.
This seems to go against logic, but works for me.
For my particular juice, it is just shy of a dry hit.
I think with many other juices it'd be better but I like mine.
The high sweetness and high flavor percentage is more than likely the root cause.
Odds are I am alone with this issue so that is why I am not considering it a real con, just for me personally.
