some appropriately placed clear coat would really help on the safety issues you might have Mr.Kid, By the fire switch, solder a nut and a glass tube around it would keep that area clear as well...this could possibly be a must have for 'Ol Foggy!

it's a gorgeous mod i must admit, especially the zebra wood. i'd change a few things such as either a light indent in the battery cap so that lever style holder stays in place or putting a spring at its other end. some of those steampunk mods in the facebook groups go for very high prices.

Steampunk stuff is really cool.

These are neat, but he fell into the common steampunk trap...putting decorative gears on something that doesn't require gears.

It's certainly a neat design, but I don't know. I can definitely see the excellent artistry and craftsmanship. Not so much spending the money on it, however.
