i have a not colour dna75 one coming

i don't have high hopes, based on previous attempts

if you have any tips on things like tinning wire, just the basics, can you maybe post it in bonkers thread and tag me so we keep this as pic thread?

@fozzy71 I made them myself, the wood is 1/8th inch approx. With 2 neodenium magnets(rare earth). And I also 3d printed the panels myself. I have some pulse bf ones I'm working on too.

I sealed the wood with virgin olive oil. I really liked the color it was and didn't want to stain it and darken it.

I've been using those a good couple months but just recently switched too the 3d printed ones. Both panels remove the 'sharp edge' from the box mod and I think it makes it look slightly more high end.

Finished her up. Love the 75c board with it's change on the fly settings.

This mod took some tweaking to get set up right with the thicker gauge wire than the channels were machined for and getting the board seated all the way in but this is one sweet mod :bliss:

nice, that is the thing I dislike the most about the athena, and the squonk hole size/shape as it sometimes gets stuck on thumb and comes off when I squonk. I might be interested if I keep vaping but I haven't had a vape/nicotine in a few days (bronchitis) and I am hoping I might be able to quit for good even once my lungs/throat return to normal. I am gonna have a lot of gear (mostly non-squonk) to unload if I can actually quit vaping

Well I wish you all the luck in quitting!

Both the wood and the 3dprinted panels still out a little bit which hide the corners, and the squonk whole is larger because i have fat fingers (LOL). The 3dprinted panels dont require magnets, which is very nice.

Well, the second run would be easier since I know what has to be done to get the correct gauge wire (IMO) in there.
But it would still be a minimum wage job at best lol.

Edit:
I think that might be why people complain about the dna75 hitting weak, 18 or 20 gauge wire in the build. Mine is 16g throughout, hits like a vapemail truck :vapemail:

For you Wraith squonkers. Do you sometimes run into device locked event though not pressed three times? This been plaguing me from day one.

That's still only "minimum" size for the output. "Recommended" is 14. Of course, much depends on the length of the wires as well...

Yes, and the longest wire path is 18g recommended. Who knows if some companies are running the minimum 20g from the cell to the board.

My problem relies in holding it down, I'd get cold air thinking something bad happened, press again look at screen, locked. uhg.

You know I just thought of it with the coldair comment. Lately I got to take a puff and it constantly asks if it's a new coil. Maybe because I have it in Tc though.

Yup happened to me many times in TC mode, not so much really never in power mode. Ohms jump like crazy on the wraith kickstarting that new coil yes or no thing in TC mode.

Happened to me on the rx200s as well in TC mode.
