Hey everyone. This is my first Smok device. When you change the Alien into tc mode its in ni200 mode. Do you know how to change it from ni200 to TI and SS mode? The manual is vague and doesn't say exactly how to do it. Thanks.

3 Presses of fire button gets you to the menu.
It defaults to starting at Mode.
One long click allows you to select what mode you want by either a short click or using right or left button.
Once you have it displaying "Mode Temp" use one long press.
That'll take you to your desired wattage, set your wattage by using the right/left button.
Then one long press to lock that in and move to the next screen.
This is the screen you are after.
Use your right/left buttons to change it to "TC-NI, TC-TI, or TC-SS".
Once you have that selected use one long press of the fire button again.
Your next screen is to set your TCR.
Use your right/left buttons to choose your setting.
Then one last long press of the fire button to exit.

I was able to get the red one from ecig while they had stock.
Blue one on back order, Orange one in WANT list.
Come to think of it, I'll probably get them all because that is what I seem to do.
Paid a little more for it than other places ($65) but I'm not unhappy about it.
Been using it daily since the 23rd.
At 90 - 115 watts 0.16Ω burning 35 - 45ml per day, I get a full day of battery life.
For what it is worth;
Only negative I find is the AMP and Volt reading are not displaying correctly.
0.160Ω @ 90 Watts, Amp should be 23.717 however mine displays 25.05, Volt should be reading 3.794 but reading 4.008.
I've checked on other devices without issue.
I'm not finding any math to make any of that come out.
Each hit I get a little bit of a different reading from Amp and Volt while resistance stays same and I did NOT manually set the resistance.
Using kanthal wire on Limitless XL.
Also tested on Baby Beast, Micro TFV4, Minos, Starre Pro, Arctic V8, Herakles, Herakles Plus, Herakles RTA-2, Goodger, Cleito, Super Tank, Crown, and Crown II with all similar results.

The firmware version on this is 1.1.3.
The current version in test is 1.1.8.
Daniel from DJLsb vapes does SMOKs R&D and he's still fine tuning the latest firmware.
Since he is the grand master of mod testing, it'll be right.
That may have something to do with why I have so many SMOK mods.
The damn things just work and they work well.

So there's an update out already? How do you bring it up on the mod which software version you currently have? It's easy to find on the hohm wrecker g2

The update is NOT currently published.
Once it is ready it'll be on SMOK website under support.

To answer my own complaint, evidently it is reading dynamically.
