From what I read, it's extracted from tobacco plant if I recall correctly and is smoother than man made nic.

Has anyone tried salt nic ejuices? In 3, 6 and 12mg?

If so, please post you experience with what brand, flavour n strength.

    Ty.

Naked revamped some of theirs and put out a “salt” line. But they’ve changed a lot of their flavors and everything is super sweet and really hard to vape, at least in my opinion it is.

Beard also has a new salt line out but haven’t heard any reviews on it.

Some of the vape shops here where I’m from are trying to push the nic salt juices because they’re supposed to have a “time release” effect to them, but fail to tell people it’s not recommended to drip juices that have the salt in them.

    Good luck!

I’m not entirely sure honestly but I know At least the beard line says “not recommended for dripping”....I haven’t done much intensive research into the nic salts, so I’m not 100% as to why they say not to.

I wish I could give you some helpful info on Nicotine Salts, but the best I can do is tag my buddy @David Wolf who in my opinion knows the most about Nicotine Salts from 1st hand personal experience.

Salt nicotine liquids with very high nicotine are not recommended for sub-ohm use, just like regular high nicotine liquids aren't.

It's nothing to do with being a nicotine salt, it's the strength.
Beard Co. Salts are 50mg, so yeah don't drip those - there are some brands out there, don't recall off the top of my head, that have lower nicotine and higher VG for sub-ohm use

I've used 45mg salt liquid in a small device, and it was very smooth to vape, not like 45mg nicotine in its regular form at all. So I suspect I could drip 6mg or even higher nicotine salts, if I wanted to, when I normally vape 3 or 4mg. I have some on order to try it...

When it comes to Nicotine levels it is only your body that tells you what Nicotine level you can tolerate, whether it is Salts or Free Base Nicotine. To prove that to myself I vaped 48MG Nicotine in 100% VG and although it packed a good head rush I am still here to provide the results.

All nicotine is extracted from tobacco plant..... Nic salts are just UNDILUTED or concentrated nicotine. Same thing just higher dosage per unit.

I would like to give you a link to some accurate information on nicotine salts, unfortunately most things I've read online about it are part true, part not true from my own experience. Here is what I can say is true from one site:
"Nicotine salts permit the ability to vape at a much higher nicotine strength without the harshness or throat hit that would traditionally occur if using normal nicotine solution. For those who do not want to vape at a higher nicotine strength, what the Salt provides is the smoothest vaping experience. At low concentrations like 3 or 6, using Nicotine Salts could easily cause one to overlook the presence nicotine in their juice because of how smooth the experience is. "
That comes from a supplier of nicotine salts base (used for diy), Nicotine River. And I agree with that in.part, you won't get the nic throat hit, but you should still get the nic buzz. https://www.nicotineriver.com/products/100mg-e-liquid-nicotine-salts

I diy using nic salts from Nude Nicotine (their "Signature" is my preferred blend), though I've also tried nic salts bases from Nicotine River and Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers..
The only already mixed nic salts e-juices I've tried are Mr. Salt-E, I liked the Mint best. For low vapor small mods like pod mods, folks typically vape higher nic like 36 to 50 mg/ml, though anything over 36 is higher than I want. Note that you are typically vaping maybe 1 to 1 1/2 ml a day ejuice at those strengths. For my diy in a tank for MTL at 8 to 12W, I use 24 mg/ml nic salts, but then again i vape only about 1 ml a day of that, and alternate with an ego one 1.8ml tank at 10-15 W at 36 mg/ml of which I vape about 1 to 1.5 ml a day. I haven't tried to buy 3-6 ml nic salts ejuice and don't know if anyone supplies it that low (probably somewhere). Mr. Salt-E comes in either 25 mg/ml or 45 mg/ml.

From my experience I ge the same nic buzz from 24 mg/ml nic salts that I do from 24/mg/ml regular freebase nic, with the HUGE difference being nic salts are no where near as harsh, and that's THE big plus for me since I vape 80pg/20VG and PG is pretty harsh using regular nic. The nic salts lowers the PH and makes it far smoother (which is my theory of why you can vape it at high nic levels, thus getting your nic fix with only 6-8 hits).

There is a misunderstanding I think, false linking between "nicotine salt" and the common types of "nicotine salt e-liquid".

Many brands of eliquid that advertise as salt nicotine have a high nicotine content, 35 mg, 45 mg, etc. This is not because the nicotine base in it has a salt nicotine formulation, it is because there is More Nicotine Base.

You can order 100mg/mL regular nicotine base. You can also 100mg/mL nicotine Salt base.

You can also order 1, 2, or 3mg/mL nicotine Salt base:
    https://liquidnicotinewholesalers.com/1mg-nicotine-salts.html

And you can order low nicotine salt eliquid ready to vape: 5mg/mL

I've been very curious about nic salts too. I have a few questions. @David Wolf , thank you for the great insight. So you typically still MTL 24mg? I'm 18mg from 24mg. I had 2 shop owners tell me I'm a beast for vaping 18mg. I hope to drop to 12mg by Christmas when I use up my 18mg.
    1. Are nic salts available in crystals as well as premixed?
    2. Why such a huge difference in nic levels in salts vs. 100% base?
    3. If I have some low mg pre-made ejuice, would adding salt mute the flavor if I want to bump it up?
    4. Is there a standard for salts vs. base? (i.e. 18mg of 100% base = ?? of salts?

Sorry if you were just asking David -
I notice a very small muting of flavor at 30mg salt nicotine and up, but that is high. I do not notice any muting at 6mg, and almost none at 24mg. These are the only strengths I've mixed with salts so far.

In exchange for a slightly muted flavor, you really can taste More flavor that isn't drowned out by freebase nicotine harshness.

18mg is 18mg, salt or freebase!
Freebase just has a kick to it while salt has more of a subtle sensation at the same strength.

I wouldn't be able to answer these questions, not because I don't research, but like David stated there's so much info out there, some true and some just absolute bull sxxx, and it being relatively new its hard to get every information possible.

However I did purchase nic salt from nicotine river and I like it a lot, I'm having a hard time getting rid of harshness in my recipes that are using harsher flavors to begin with, adding regular nic which I do have as well just adds to the problem. Some store bought juices were not vapeable for me either due to that issue, till I then added nic salt to the current free base nic liquid lol. Not sure if that's safe but it does work. I also don't vape above 3mg but I defiantly keep using it in my diy from now on.

Hey sorry for the slow response, I don't get on as often these days Trixy. Yeah, the current Trend is high powered vaping low nic concentration, consuming 10 to 30 ml a day ejuice. If someone is vaping 10 ml a day of 6 mg nic, that about equals my daily intake of nicotine, at 2 to 2 1/2 ml a day, 24 mg in one SXK Doggystyle tank, 36 mg in a stealthy ego one 1.8 ml tank (about like a pod mod the way I use it). Fols

    1. Are nic salts available in crystals as well as premixed?
Not that I am aware of, however there's a thread on VU somewhere I"ve been to, where people are experimenting diy nic salts using acids such as Benzoic Acid. Yyou best know what you're doing if you get into this, make sure you have lab grade, know math and a bit of chemistry, lol. I'm not there yet on making my own, easier for me to buy nic salts base from Nude Nicotine. :D

    2. Why such a huge difference in nic levels in salts vs. 100% base?
I'm not sure what you are asking? Do you mean differences in ejuice nic salts from nic salts base? If so, well its the same reason you have big differences in regular nic base from ejuice, the concentrated base is for diy, adding PG, VG, and flavors. I know you know this, so I am likely misunderstanding your question haha. If you mean why are nic salts juices so much higher than regular nic juices (typically, but you can get lower as some have posted above), the answer is that the Juul started this craze of nic salts, manufactures started making pod mods kind of like the juul, and juice manufacturers started making high nic nic salts juices. Since these devices hold very little juice typically, they make it stronger. If I vape on a pod mod at say 36 to 45 mg nic salts, with only 6 or so hits and I've got my nic fix the same as if i still smoked a cigarette. Thats why pod mods are quite popular.

    3. If I have some low mg pre-made ejuice, would adding salt mute the flavor if I want to bump it up? I haven't really judged that nic salts mutes flavor, but it does have a smell (benzoic acid typiically) and a bit of its own taste which compliments some flavors like Peppermint and other mints, and slightly degrades others (like naturally extracted tobacco). This is my subjective opinion though.

    4. Is there a standard for salts vs. base? (i.e. 18mg of 100% base = ?? of salts?
Well my opinion is that 18 mg nic salts is equal to 18 mg regular nicotine as far as nicotine buzz goes. However from a throat hit perspective, that 18 g nic salts will be far smoother than the 18 mg/ml nic base. :) So I treat them the same, if i want 18 mg nic I use that, regardless of whether its salts or base, since I need nic, lol. :D

I too have added nic salts to regular nic juices, I see no problems at all doing that, since the manufacturers uses nicotine bases to formulate nic salts by adding various acids. :)

Thanks for your verbose explanation, David. It explains a lot. I have several juices that smell and are described to suit my flavor pallet. These are ones I won during the past year. They are 3-9mg and I'd love to bump them up to 18mg before the vgand original nic integrity is compromised by age.

I'll buy a bottle and experiment. I also have two 120ml Kilo Kiberry that were "special edition" but didn't realize they were only 3mg until just last summer. I will check out the links you all have provided above. I don't DIY yet, but have been adding my own 100% vg base to some of my older 18mg that are lacking in strength. And yes, I definitely taste/smell the pepper'ish flavor when doing so.

So, out come my plastic 30ml bottles and needle tips so I can make room for the salts. (BTW, I have about 3 dozen bottles of 110ml that I'll be disposing of. Along side of binging on hardware, I binged on eliquids before 8/8/16. The high vg I once had is more like pg now although they smell good. I even went so far as to order a LOT of 30mg eliquid to mix together such as orange to mix with vanilla bean, etc..)

@emt_horton88 Swedish Fish are just gummy bears shaped as fish, jut with a harder texture. lol

I want to mention that nicotine salt gives me a buzz in the morning, or after a few hours without vaping. Regular nicotine liquid never did that!

It also hits me within a minute, so it's very fast
